The magnets are real and the video probably has no "special effects".
I didn't read the stuff in great detail, but did he claim
perpetual motion or "free energy"?
There are very nice demonstrations of things "falling" (rolling)
in the direction of an ever increasing magnetic field....
that is, until the field doesn't increase anymore and then
it stops (typically called the sticky spot.)
Notice you did not see the rolling bar make a RETURN trip down
the board...it only went one way.
So, yes it is real, BUT until he can get a circular track to work
(close the loop) it is not very useful for anything.

This is basically the same type magnetic track operation used by Howard Johnson to gain his magnetic motor patent at untold financial cost including three years of fighting the Patent Appeals Board.
Nothing ever become of Johnson's Motor nor did he ever recover the patent costs. This new revelation is not new and is something for the 'Newbies' to get scammed with. IIRC it's called a SMOT and for the last 30 years that I am aware of nobody has ever been able to close the loop.
