Ken and Jonathan.

You are both probably right in your perspective. I do agree that the first attempt should and will be as simple as possible. When I talk of shielding and mechanics involved I am just throwing ideas out there for rebuttal.

Another example is, should the rocker tube be of ferrous metal or plastic pipe? I am visualizing a PVC "T" with cross arms horizontal and the plenum rod of same size. To keep it simple, radio shack magnets can be attached to a piece of all-thread. If stronger magnets are required, I just happen to have a very good supply from "Wonder magnets". Also have on hand two plastic milk cases full of speaker magnets.

Today I worked extra hard on getting some of my house remodeling caught up. Before my heart problems I was adding a 26' x 40' two story shop-Garage to my house plus a studio loft. Total residence is now a little over 4,000 square feet, I have to rewire 90% of the existing to bring it up to code. Large yard also that needs attention.

Please be patient with me and I will do what I can as soon as I can get things caught up enoough to satisfy My wifes and my creature comforts.
