Alex, please make your posts look like the following...

Hi Spinner361!

The problem of "falling stick" (and ball) is a classic laboratory demonstration to show that we can get more rapid falls than that on the vertical line. My proposal was intended to measure t1, t2 and t3 so to understand something about different kinds of drops into the gravity field. More, if we allow a path to slide on the radius (stick) for the ball between two limits we can notice an additionally interesting effect. It can be something alike when a ball falls freely spinning from the top of a semi-spheric surface: at 2/3 of the height of this semi-spheric surface the joint effect of the gravity and inertia launchs away of the surface the falling-spinning ball (because if has no more support/ contact... as inertia becomes greater as the gravity).

The pendular configurations in my opinion can vary from equal arms (a nonpendulum, a balance) to one arm only (a mathematical pendulum, a "full" pendulum). That's can be theory; in the real world we are talking about a physical pendulum: think about the counterweighted pendulum of the mechanical clock used to adjust regulate the equal timing. The motion of the mechanical world can be expressed in a huge diversity of pendular configurations. As in electronics, the oscillatory motion (and circuits...) is a main concern: no pulsating circuits, no modern soft technology. The Mechanics can be the next to evolve in the same manner.

Take this as a particular opinion... and is common that the difference of opinion is one that makes our invisible horses (soft) races.

All the Bests!/Alex

Alex, if you refuse to cooperate in this manner then I (and probably others) will simple stop reading your posts because they are too difficult to read. You will become like an echo in an empty room here.

I can't find a reasonable answer to why this guy doesn't use his ENTER key..
The only thing that comes to mind, is if he is on a pocket pc and limited in screen size, or if his messages are formatted correctly on his screen and when posted on the forum, they get reformatted for X reason ..

But in any case, this guy seem to avoid this subject .. ?

That's the reason why I said : You look like a bot, or, you didn't pass the turing test.. He then replied something to the turing test that didn't make any sense .. I still think he is from far away and that he may not be familiar with computers.. !?

There is an edit facility for each post you make so you can do corrections & formatting afterwards, if it's hard to read.

It doesn't cost any money to use it.

I think Alex knows his way around a computer pretty well. possibly to well.

His typing reminds me of HTML, XML, XHTML, and gently stirred with DHTML.

Where is a lot of computer programming performed, and what do you call it when companies set up shop in a low paying country?
Job sourcing or something like that!

Well the turing test he didn't passed... His reply didn't make any sense.

But he looks kind of brilliant for a bot, I wish I had his soft.. ;]

Anyways..

Hi Steve! Thinking that ,as you pointed "the gravity is an unrelenting, constant ,downward power ,that is present all the time...both statically and dynamically" , the question "how we can change it's direction to move objects in another direction besides down'' ,can have an answer looking carefully around us.Sorry , we can't change the real direction of the gravitational acceleration "g". The problem becomes to combine this constant ,vertical acceleration with another one, the inertial acceleration ,coming into existence , due to a continuous changing trajectory (variable velocity and curvature ).As composing in a clock the "6" fix index ,with a variable one (any position and value) : we get that we want. This bot is really interesting, I want one !

There should be a way to control what he is saying ..

BOT : What is your software?!

Alex did respond by adding some spaces before and after punctuation marks. (There should never be any spaces before punctuations.) This is an indication that Alex is NOT a mindless software robot. Alex's posts do have some intelligence if you can sift through his very strange sentence structures. Alex lists his location as Costa Mesa /CA /US which is near the southern end of the California coast close to Mexico. I would guess that English is a second language for Alex since he uses it so poorly. Alex replies to some people by their name but seldom enters into a "one on one" type conversation. Alex's postings are mostly just simple but intelligent observations that are worded using very complex and strange sentence structures. This causes a lack of communication since most of us have trouble understanding what it is he's trying to say. If Alex were to learn how to write proper English then he might be an asset to our Bessler community. I'm not saying that posters always need to write perfect and proper. What I'm saying is that good language skills make communications much easier.

I think we need to cut Alex a little slack. I think Alex needs to meet us half way by learning correct punctuation and by learning how to write simpler sentences. What we have here is a failure to communicate.

jim_Mitch,

I agree with your above post regarding Alex's typing methods. Alex certainly has the thinking abililty to bring up some viable discussion if we could only involve ourselves with the subject and not being distracted by trying to read it.

I also wonder it it just may be, that he is using a handicap aid such as IBM or Lernout & Hauspie voice recognition typing aid.

Rather than make insinuations of his typing skill, and not his subject matter. leaves me with the benefit of doubt.

Ralph,
Voice recognition software produces consistant punctuation. It also produces words that sound the same but are spelled differently such as hoarse for horse. It's easy to spot if you know what to look for.

Alex,
Are you using voice recognition software? As Ralph says, it would be good if we could discuss the subject matter and not be distracted by poor typing skills.

Jim I partially agree ..

True, the possibility of a handicap is very probable.. But I asked and he didn't respond something intelligible..

When I said something quite ordinary like : you didn't pass the turing test, he replied in a non-sensical way.

Without falling into psychology, I can make a machine look intelligent, it's really easy to quote things from a database, dictionnary when proper statistical components are found in a syntax and it's very easy to give random nicknames on the forum ..

When he replied STEVE on the forum, him being a new user, and me not finding any steve in that discussion, I found that strange.

He also post repeatedly the same topics on many FE forums ..

He looks like a bot to me, to make fun of us ..

If he's not a bot, he should learn.. And that doesn't happen right now..

It's easy to add characters to his posts even if he is programmed..

And, yes, the most probable thing, is that he may be handicapped..

Well If he says : "Guys I'm not using space for xyz reason..." then I'll say he's real... but if not, he just don't pass the turing test.

Mr L.i.B.! What a nickname ! You comments are so funny...please,go on...this forum/virtual room ,needs a lot of humor.By the way, what's the main topic, what we are talking about ?A Happy New Year 2007! ...in any case.Thinking just a little., I understand your mental disposition ,after a so long 'hunting " in the Bessler's secret "forrest",believe me,please .Take care ,the virtual chasing ,as a sport is something different. Here ,in my opinion ,we are looking for an asymmetric shape in inertia ,not in gravity : the gravity is unchangeable ,but the inertial effects can be engaged in an asymmetric style(face to a fulcrum...as a swimming fish in water), so to collect gravity power in a continuous mode. For the moment ,without proof ,this can be a possible hope-way only, so to imagine something valuable. All the Bests! / Alex

We can discuss alex, his format of text and wonder the source but when coments like:
we are looking for an asymmetric shape in inertia ,not in gravity : the gravity is unchangeable ,but the inertial effects can be engaged in an asymmetric style(face to a fulcrum...as a swimming fish in water), so to collect gravity power in a continuous mode.
Now I do not care how it looks, this caught my eye and I was able to get a spark of innovation out of it. Gravity is definitely symmetrical on a horizontal basis It does however become asymmetric with increase of elevation.

Thanks! Alex Or Bot or whatever, I believe that your above statement has opened a new concept and/or a way of thinking on a design that I am currently engaged in. I would like to believe I know where you are coming from with this statement! And maybe it is because of a little educaton and experience in ichthyology that I can relate to!

Now I am curious as to how you will reply to this, and in what time frame.
