I can't find anything on that link Alan.

We are lucky in a way with measuring the effect of gravity on an influenced mass. Gravity is unidirectional. If the torque force were to be calculated, say for a capstan with 6 sailors rotating it, it would be a nightmare to fathom. The strength of each sailor would be different. Some would be resting while others would exert. The direction of the force would constantly change etc, etc.

The pivot line system will give an acceptable value at a point in time. But if a favourable figure results from the calculation, it does not a give a totally true perspective. Other factors must be taken into consideration. For instance, on my new design, the weights at 12 and 6 o’clock change their radii (Radial transference), and energy is required to achieve this. But the lever system that I have incorporated to do this work partially relies on CF to help with the moment. Likewise, the radial retraction of the weight at 6 o’clock relies on a delay (axial transference), where it waits there for the 12 o’clock weight to transfer before releasing, where it retracts on the accent.

Of course, it is one thing to see it working on paper, but it’s another to get it working in reality. It is hoped the design profile will result in 3 weights ascending and retracting, 4 weights totally extended and descending and 1 weight (not applying any force) waiting at 6 o’clock.

Sorry KAS

You had have to be longed on due to it is on Community Buzz settings.

So I will post it again here. Turn it sideways for the keel part of the measurement.
