Hi Blitzbrain ,
Alass , it will not work , whether we use one weight to lift another , or one spring to tension another it is the same thing , we have to induce energy into the system which we do not have without a prime mover .
In J.B. MT 's , he shows one wheel and to it he gives comments , and use the word " MOVEMENT " , which he also uses when talking about his wheel .
Has anyone built this thing ever?

Hi Blitzbrain,
I am with you on this one, but I would go for 16 weights too fire one weight up from the bottom to the top of the wheel, it does not have to move fast and there is one sided torque of 15 weights to cock the spring gearing.
I have this design on my web site as a Bessler wheel.
Why 16 weights? That is the magic number of falling levers required to gain enough kinetic to close the loop with 20% surplus energy after friction if the leverage is tapped then channelled back to drive the wheel.
People here do not believe me, they require proof which is fair enough, I have the proof but will not post it until I am ready I am not showing the videos I made until I can remake them because I am not happy how I have described what is going on, plus I did not have a shave and I look scruffy.
Alan, I did not know that you also had a pinball device.

Hi blitz,i do not think it will work because the friction on the spring will be too large and here's my two penith moving the weight from the lower tdc to the upper tdc creates no drive, besslers wheels made noise and created drive u have no drive ,i like it though good luck and thanks for sharing, all the best Andy.
