A patent does not guarantee a penny in return, but it guaranties recognition, in case of doubts, to give to Caesar, what belongs to Caesar.

A recorded worldwide proof!

I still don't believe in patents for reasons I have been into more than once both here and on my blog. I can get recognition without having to go the patent route. I have other means established for achieving recognition if I deserve it.

I am genuinely trying to leave some legacy to the world, within my limits, if I succeed in having my working wheel.

My wheel design is already in the public domain, which is available to anybody to build and use.

The world is watching what I am proposing and is aware that I am not applying for any patent for commercial use of my invention.

How am I to know that some body or some big multinational companies with billions, is not following my every move on public domains, and applying for patents worldwide, on my invention. to become owner of my IP.

They can now commercialize my invention and deny anybody else to build and use it.

My wish is to give my invention freely to the world. And to achieve that, this is what I am actually doing. I am applying for provisional patent for my concepts, which is free of charge for one year, giving me one year to work on my concept to see if it's any good before I pay some 150 GBP for a search, to get my invention in the records of WIPO, the world's IPO.

My work with that invention ends here. No one can get a patent on my invention/concept because of priority dates.

My invention can then be used freely around the world, if it is indeed useful.

John Collins can just make more money on books if he becomes famous. How much do you think celebrity movie stars earn? Sure you want to be that guy. That guy that gets to own all of the utility companies. Who wants to be the next Rockefeller? John Collins can just be the next ROCK STAR if he is lucky enough for a perpetual motion machine to sprout out of this. Now ladies and I present to you Band John Collins. dada dadaada weeooweeooweeeoo Bessler had that special ... dadada

For what ever it's worth, I think I know how it was done. I'm fairly certain now that Bessler's first two wheels had two sliders and the last two had four sliders.
See Mt-13 & 135. With a weight at each end.
The sliders were reset every one half revolution at or about the horizontal position. The weight of the slider, when it is more or less vertical, stretches out the spring. Then when it, the slider, approaches horizontal, the spring resets the slider with fast motion. One spring pulls the slider one way and the other spring pulls the slider the other way.
But, for this to happen the springs have to be fastened to a plate that slides back and forth, with a cam, so that when one spring is tight the other one is lose.
I tend to agree with you Sam. Bessler mentioning pulleys and the Jacob's ladder toy has steered me away from that design but I think someone should attempt to build a prototype anyway.

gravitationallychallenged,

Thanks for your time and consideration. Have to try it to be sure but, fairly certain that it will work. There is still more to learn; have to experiment with displacements of the sliders and the spring plate(s), and spring tensions.

Looks like it would be easy to change the direction of rotation, just shift the cam 180 degrees, and the wheel would turn the other way.

The first person to post a youtube or facebook video of a working wheel will become known as the person who invented it regardless of who owns the patents or intellectual properties or trademarks or copyrights. No company is going to spend millions on protecting something that people can make at home. Once the first unit is sold,it will be torn open and exposed and everybody with some popsicle sticks and duct tape will have a working wheel. You can't sue or arrest or shutdown everyone on the planet. It will be a worldwide revolution and if you helped design it in any way,you will have to be satisfied with knowing you helped advance humankind, and maybe your immediate family and friends will know it was you.
Trying to turn the spinning in my brain into something useful before moving on to the next life.

John, I hope you have not started this thread because you are no longer 100% convinced that you have the solution?????? Hopefully there are no doubts arising. We all are waiting for the solution.

A reasonable question but no, there are no doubts in my mind, but I would still prefer to know that others are really working towards the solution too in case I'm wrong or something prevents me from finishing my work. That's why I intend adding information about some of my discoveries here.

Now, due to the unfortunate demise of my airline, Monarch, I am unable to return home just yet, but when I do, I'll put up some stuff which I hope will generate some new interest in Bessler's wheel.

I'm a former child genius but my family somehow doesn't know and is lying about my identity because I think I was adopted and they won't admit it. I was injured by assaults so me don't think so good now. If I invent perpetual motion machine then I've already invented it in the past when I was a kid, absolutely, and am just remembering it. I think the hanging bars are unbalanced no matter what position the wheel is at in the turn. The two weights slamming together looks like it would work too. I have a devious undertone sharing any perpetual motion machine attempts. I believe that if you use gravity for energy that you will kill all life on Earth. If people build these in their garage, they should go to prison. The hanging bars originates from Raj design but he doesn't seem to acknowledge what I'm sharing when I try talk about this different version of it.

I thought you were going to make short wisecrack comment again. You are the sarcastic character like Hyde from "That 70's Show."
