re: BUOYANCY
i mean JEEEZ--there's some things you just can't live down
what's he gonna do? become a corporation in delaware and hide the
money he bilked from Peter The Great in a co-operative bank in The Caymans
and he think's he's gonna get away with it THAT way or something?
it sounds like he was ready to turn the whole thing over to Pete for a lump cash sum and let HIM deal with it all
(sorta like the modern 'find a bill gates' strategy)

Sorry Jim, that's faulty reasoning. If history has taught us anything it's that frauds have the capacity to accept high risk. A fraud might easily lend credibility to his claims by using his own life as assurance, especially if he knows it will never be tested.jim_mich wrote:This lends credibility to Bessler's claim of true perpetual motion. If you lie to such people you end up loosing your head.
Bessler was a self confessed gambler. Sometimes the biggest bluff's win the biggest pots. Then again, he might have had the best hand. Who knows? Either way, his assurances tell us nothing because he mucked the lot.
re: BUOYANCY
well, ok--then he had the biggest balls of any huckster in history
and he was totally ready to go thru with the scam
and the mark died
so SOMETHING mucked it up

there's ALWAYS some GOOD reason the bigfoot doesn't step out of the foliage and climb into the cage
to be inspected by the scientific community (like he promised he would))
i hate that

Ovyyus,it was John Collins who stated P the G was coming to look and possibly purchase Bessler's Wheel in 1725,so we have to assume(with no dates or proof forthcoming) its from Besslers account with no evidence to support the claim, but what we do know is,P the G had the means and he was a ruthless man,(he had his only living son and heir tortured and killed in 1721)this would have been well known and if such a deal was possible i'm positive Karl would not be part of a fraud his reputation would be on the line also,i guess we'll have to draw a line under the Fifth Wheel with no evidence to support it ....Good Luck. edited to add....i would not want to try and fraud those people in them days ....life was cheap.

re: BUOYANCY
The details of Peter the Great's interest in Bessler's wheel are described in my biography of Bessler, Perpetual motion An Ancient Mystery Solved?
I reproduced a number of letters following Peter's instructions to purchase the wheel. Historical records show that he was intending to visit Karlshafen to view the wheel but he died unfortunately before he could make the trip.

re: BUOYANCY
The Orthodox Doctrine Orffyreer or some association of discordant ....that is the title as far as i can gather of one of Bessler's books can anyone enlighten us what this book is about?........link above this post......i have other info. but i'm peeved no-one has offered a brief to the members like myself who neither speak or read German ....a discussion group surely has to work two ways or why bother.
Hi Rasselasss
See this post of mine:
http://www.besslerwheel.com/forum/viewt ... 6660#96660
It's a document written by Bessler discussing his desire to see the unification of all Christian religions.
Also see the following link to the besslerwheel.com wiki page I've been putting together to list all known Bessler-related documents. I've still got more to add to it, but it's a good start...

Don't forget the forum's search feature, which would have helped you find this information...
