re: kinetic energy hypothesis
I have a different question for you guys, which relates a little to Preoccupied's other problem. We can figure how much energy it takes to lift something as in potential energy. We can get a freefall impact number from dropping a mass from a height onto the ground which is equal to the PE. So…
Take a 10 lb box and put it on the table it has x amount of PE. Now take that box and slowly lower it to the floor. Because I slowed it down it doesn’t have impact the freefall one does, but where did the lost energy go? Well like a spring I must have absorbed it. It doesn’t feel like I gained energy in fact it felt like I had to work all the way lowering it. If you lowered it with a spring set at 9 lbs would the 1 lb still fall at freefall rate? When as in time does it go from gaining to just plain having to work? Why does time function seem so important?

re: kinetic energy hypothesis
Torsion takes some time to torsion. I guess you found an area where time is slower for the process of having a weight fall. Actually I have a long standing idea for removing G-force that involves using a compound gear train and a long system of circular springs. The G-force disappears by putting the energy into the springs which slowly travel the force towards a distance of numerous springs which absorb the force at a mechanical disadvantage. Like a chain would turn the circular spring as the chain travels across a cylinder and after passing over the spring it unwinds right away and the cylinder is reused because the cylinder exists in a complete circle. So it springs these springs very quickly but the distance the passenger travels back to absorb the G-force is a small distance.
I also have a long standing idea for removing all automobile crash casualties using highly efficient arch key skins. It's a shield comprising of arches where the arches are woven such that a skin is created from the keys to the arches. This highly efficient and possibly militarily guarded secret shielding could be used to create micro shields that shatter to remove impact from automobile crashes. The micro shields could be placed in layers and each layer could absorb impact from a moderate or small crash but there would be hundreds or thousands of these layers because it's a micro shield. Imagine this magical shield existed and you were a strong man and you pushed on it and were able to break layer after layer. You would essentially be slowly pushing on it as small pieces of the shield shatter like dust on your hand. It would be a long process but such a moderately strong individual could break the whole shield with enough time but a car impact would be immediately stopped in its place by the shield with no casualties. It would have to have the shield placed on the outside of the car and on the seat belts.
The combinations of these two ideas would allow high speed vehicular travel through space or on special allowed paths on the planet while at the same time eliminating all possible casualties from horrific super sonic crashes. The micro shield would absorb super sonic crashes with no whiplash on the passenger and the G-force absorption would absorb all G-force related to traveling hyper sonic potentially.
So Daxwc, I think you are referring to torsion. Is torsion magical? Yes.

re: kinetic energy hypothesis
Sometimes I feel like my genius is wasted on everything I lay my influence on. I'm smarter than everybody else. Russia and China would revel in the notion of hypersonic vehicular travel and weaponry. the shifting weights at right angles can reach the limits of hypersonic speeds by traveling vehicles using motion without external force, and my other hypothesizes like the arch key skin and cylinder of springs can make human travel possible in it. Maybe not human travel but even sensitive intelligent guidance equipment. I'm giving everybody everything I interact with pure gold of information and I can't even get a little respect because I'm obviously just limited enough by concussions to be considered below average, like here on the forum. I am a below average forum member here. I am a brain damaged below average forum member.
I like Russia better than the USA! Everything Russian is cool. I would revel in them using my ideas. They actually have a space program mission launches and could use my ideas right away after drawing and building reasonable applications. This stuff I'm talking about would go to mars and back in hours or days or something like that. It's really powerful.
I wouldn't be able to make one dime of cash in the USA because the game is rigged. Unless I can rewrite the rules to accommodate my needs, I cannot and cannot make large amounts of money in the USA with my ideas. Only really lame stuff gets through marketable means and profit. Good ideas: They get killed. Like these good ideas, will die if I go through the normal process. I would prefer Russia and China exploit these ideas than me struggling to negotiate with dumb ass USA. I would revel in seeing a Chinese and Russian hypersonic vehicular craft race across the entire air space of the USA with impunity and in seconds, because I feel like the game is rigged. I have no role in this world except to be a bottom feeder kept under the thumb of this dumb ass country that I'm in. That is not to say that I like ISIL. I want to murder that group with my bare hands.

Dax - this is simply braking action experienced by your arm similar to any disk or drum brake system on a car or bicycle.daxwc wrote:I have a different question for you guys, which relates a little to Preoccupied's other problem. My bicycle brake rotors get RED HOT descending a long steep hill as my brake fingers apply the force and motion of the bicycle supplies the distance to create work against the tendency of the falling weight (bicycle) to create more and more kinetic energy.
Work=forcexdistance so as the bicycle tries to create more and more kinetic energy, the brakes have to supply an equal amount of energy to arrest the descent.
In your example, the arm's muscles are creating the same effect. Work must be created against building kinetic energy to stop the acceleration downwards.
If we just let the weight fall while still holding on, the weight delivers it's kinetic energy to our arm, accelerating it downwards as well (but giving up a slight amount of it's own kinetic energy to do so).
In the case of the bicycle, if we apply enough continual force to the brake handle, we can bring the bicycle to a complete stop on a steep hill but we must continually supply the force to prevent the bike from developing kinetic energy once again.
So the kinetic energy of the bicycle is converted to heat in the brake rotors rather than allowing additional kinetic energy to be created that would cause the bike to accelerate further.
The arm muscles do the same function and can bring the falling weight to a complete stop. Per physics, no actual work is being done at this point but internal muscle fiber twitch is still occurring causing muscles to heat up.
Since in your example there is no mechanical braking system that would allow the weights kinetic energy to convert to heat, your muscles must supply work in opposition to the kinetic energy of the weight, but this work still disappears (or is dissipated) as heat.

My example has always been the motionless helicopter, maintaining a determined altitude and not moving, It is gulping fuel and creating heat, but according to physics it is doing no work!

The USA's game is rigged. For example:

This is a business that had an 8 million dollar order and was seeking a $500,000 funding to fill the order. I read a financer offering $750,000 in unsecured credit for small business in Entrepreneur magazine on someone with a 750 credit score. This guy's business would probably be worth over 10 billion dollars if it were fully implemented to actual customers like Saudi Arabia and others who actually care about his product.
The sharks are now likely targeting the wrong market for the company. His customers should probably have been intelligent people who wanted the product rather than uneducated people who then have to be convinced to buy it like some kind of snake oil. I think he is being seriously screwed by these dumb ass American millionaires/billionaires because they gave him such a crap offer on his business.
Ultimately the sharks haggled him into the same amount of money as I saw for a line of credit in Entrepreneur magazine and a 750 credit score but they took 30% of his company and a 10 perpetual royalty. These Sharks are crooks. F-you Mark Cuban! His company would have been worth 10 billion dollar after decent implementation!
EDIT
The house cat was chewing up and destroying the IKEA catalog that came in the mail. Is there something wrong with my IKEA catalog?

In the case of the Gravity pulse motor the stop holding up the unbalanced weight is the equivalent of the helicopter.
The way I look at it is this.
If the stop wasn't there then the unbalanced weight would fall some distance, x, say.
To return it back to its original position F.x work would have to be done.
In preventing the fall of the unbalanced weight the stop has done preventative work.
Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terribilis ut castrorum acies ordinata?
re: kinetic energy hypothesis
Ralph:
Not only that, but what about work by definition that changes with frame of reference. For example if a jet takes off doing the same speed as the earth’s rotation everyone on the ground sees it is doing work. But to an alien in a spacecraft he sees the earth spinning and the jet sitting still and doing no work.My example has always been the motionless helicopter, maintaining a determined altitude and not moving, It is gulping fuel and creating heat, but according to physics it is doing no work!

re: kinetic energy hypothesis
To prove that I am not wrong about anything ever, I will revisit my hydro bellows design and prove it somewhat correct as well. I will be wrong about nothing and correct about everything within reason, I mean I did get hit on the head before. But I am a severely accurate person who pays attention to details...
This is basically the same thing as what I was saying before but I digressed to new topic. The water wheel drawn in MS painting would work by putting a fixed amount of water out of the large tower and onto the wheel. It would be a perpetual motion machine because the water would be a fixed amount but the size of the wheel could be any size. The water on the return path would be blocked by a mouth door thingy drawn in red. The weight would have fins on it drawn in pink that would push the water down allowing it to be removed so that replacement water is added and then it can push the replacement water and itself down to fill the wheel again. THIS is another workable perpetual motion machine but I would not use it to produce gravitational energy because according to my kinetic energy hypothesis it might slow down the planet and all life on Earth would die. But this is a real workable perpetual motion gravity wheel design. I am right. I am always right. Maybe I'm wrong. I am really super hot right now, no air conditioning, 90+ degrees outside, my house solar heats. My forehead is leaking.
rlortie consideration from arrache?
EDIT
I'm not an expert on water pumps but I'm betting pink fins that I drew might not be the best way to pump water. A pumping cylinder maybe is better. This just shows my lack of mechanical ingenuity, I'm clumsy. Conceptually I am Godlike though, because of vast experience before concussions making things that were special that I didn't publish, such as some swastika style design that was a perpetual motion machine. I swear it (swastika wheel perpetual motion) exists, I just don't remember it. However the dumbbell experiment might be that (swastika perpetual motion machine), but who knows for certain, only me before concussions.

Firstly, thanks for posting the link to the Dragons Den episode featuring the nasal filters.
I love this program. Capitalism in its purest form . It's a dog eat dog world I'm afraid.
In regards to your water wheel / hydraulic jack affair, I don't know what to say . I'm dumbfounded tbh.
Chris
PS I won't ever speak for Ralph but your design falls on to points I'm afraid:
A) It clearly won't worked.
B) For Arrache to invest time and resources in converting a concept into a build it has to have proprietary value, meaning patentability , commercialisation and financial return. As the idea has been published on an open forum , it has been disclosed - so it's game over .

yeah triplock, I swear I was trying to get you or rlortie to understand this design a long time ago. You guys are such tight asses. You won't consider anybody's design.
Why are you dumbfounded? Did I make a glaringly obvious mistake due to my ignorance? That happens a lot. Don't blame me. I swear. It's the heat.
