re: Manipulating Momentum
am using the computer in rehab. Should be out of here in 3 weeks.
Am doing better, been in hospital since May 4. Lymph nodes were clean so it appears cancer hadnt spread much.
Anxious to resume work on wheel. My friend finished cutting it on plasma cutter. Need to be free of this wheelchair. Tired of being sick.

Not knowing is not the problem. It is the knowing of what just isn't so.

Get well and back on your feet soon.
I just finished with a prostate scare. Also I am having to wait to get these bone spurs cut out of my left heal so I can walk like I use to without a pair of canes. So in a way, I do know your pain.
again get well

Thank you AB
sorry to hear about the prostate scare cancer is a terrible disease.
At least it ended well.

re: Manipulating Momentum
I am going to describe another setup I am thinking of.
Smokin lamas (video #9) will throw 100 meters straight up. Let’s change the pumpkin into a one kilogram mass. One hundred meters up would allow us a chain drive 100 meters high. Lets place one kilogram every one meter along the chain drive; that would be one kilogram at 100 meters high and one at 99, 98, 97----3, 2, 1. By dropping the chain one meter we now have one at 99, 98, 97----2, 1, 0. To return to the original configuration we must throw one 1 kilogram mass straight up 100 meters: and smokin lamas can do that.
Do we have enough motion to equal the moving wheel in smoking lamas?
Any object dropped one meter will have a velocity of 4.429 m/sec (d =1/2 v²/a). One hundred kilograms dropped one meter will have 4.429 m/sec * 100 kilograms = 442.9 units of momentum. But smokin lamas only throws one of the 100 kilograms objects, and all of the motion of the wheel is transferred to the one 1 kilogram missile. For a one kilogram missile to have 442.9 units of momentum it will have to be moving 442.9 m/sec. That would allow it to rise (d =1/2 v²/a) 10,000 meters.
We all know that momentum is conserved when a bullet (moving 442.9 m/sec) hits a (99 kilogram) mass at rest. Is there any experimental evidence that The Law of Conservation of Momentum would not apply to the motion of a block transferring its motion to a bullet.
For experimental purposes we could drop100 kilograms one meter. We can connect it to any size wheel we want to. We can use different lever ratios. Etc. And we will see if Newton is correct.

I have posted 2 shorts at you tube for a total of 3 videos now.
just search manipulating momentum
moving back to Oregon finally. Cant wait.
will post more videos after I get settled in.
video 3 shows the wheel. nifty!!!!

re: Manipulating Momentum
Best wishes for a speedy and as painless recovery as possible Kirk. Yes, being ill and feeling dimished by it is depressing. Take things at whatever pace you can.
If you think you have an overunity device, think again, there is no such thing. You might just possibly have an unexpectedly efficient device. In which case you will be abducted by MIB and threatened by aliens.
