smith66,
What type of explanation were you expecting? I wrote that explanation straight off the top of my head. I thought you wanted an intelligent textbook explanation.
As I've said before, most of the time I try to write things as simple as possible so as to make things more understandable. I thought you wanted an intelligent response to how a hand pump works. and that is what I wrote.
So what is your point? Are you just being a pain in the ass troll? I'm about ready to put you on ignore.

@Jim_Mich,
If you woud've said it's a syphon pump, that would've been a good enough answer. After all, it has a 100 ft. static head. And with each 33 feet, the weight of the water increases by a factor of 1.
An example of this is that 1 lb. of water would have 6 lbs. of force. You know, 1 + 2 +3 = 6.
That's a 100 ft. static heac without air pressure.
With air pressure, it's 14.2 + 28.4 + 32.6 = 65.2.
Not sure on this Jim_Mich, but do have to wonder how you missed this.
@Dwizzle, what are you on ?

@All,
My last post explains Bessler's "secret".
I f you doubt this, just take a drive through your bank and ask them why tbey don't use air pressure instead of vacuum.
p,s., since 1 lb. of water equals about 28.3 cubic inches, a 100 foot static head can weigh as little as 3 1/2 lbs. if the tube has one square inch of surface area.
Compared to the about 70 lbs. of force it would take to pump the same water, I guess I'd pump it to fit in.

re: Basic Pm Idea
i'm onto telling you that the amt. of formal schooling till they have the question on the test:
"gravalone oob wheel physically possible?", should be about the ninth grade
and the correct answer should be no so one can continue one's studies
in 7th grade they told us it was established that one could not tri-sect an angle
so i tried for about a week
that's juvenalia--fine
seems like trying to do the gravity alone gadget is the same thing with just a bigger prize
so people try harder and longer
if anyone's conceptions in here are that ground breaking--they wouldn't have been picking it up in any ACCREDITED school or on the job training, any way
if you're getting something from water it's not gravity and leverage alone

you a fraud?
just kidding
yer wheel just don't work
pump maybe--wheel no
if you told me it was a gravity engine
or even pm
and it didn't spin a wheel
i might believe it
well, i'd have trouble with true pm but i'd listen
before i said NAWWWWWW...
lol
i tell this to all gravalone widget flippers so don't feel bad
wear it like a badge of honor if you must
"jimminy cricket takes acid over there (dwylbtzle) says it ain't so
ergo
so it must be!"
thousands will believe you
you could start a dang movement

All pumps are both siphon pumps and pressure pumps. All pumps suck fluid in and pressure fluid out.smith66 wrote:@Jim_Mich,

@Dwizzle, what are you on ?
Also, your numbers are wrong. A 100 foot column of water open at the top will have a pressure of 43.309 PSI at the bottom, give or take a tiny difference due to density variation of the water depending upon its temperature and its dissolved air content.
PS, Jim L. I'm done discussing your crap.
