When I folded the lift stroke back on to the power stroke, there was a deficit and the single arm of your wood chopper mechanism couldn't complete the circle.

My belief in your idea is wavering, Driver.

Just sayin'.
Add 22 degrees to the power stroke, from the thickness/depth of the out side cam, actual lift is 338 degrees +or - are you lifting at 12" from center of the wheel and pushing down 24" from center of the wheel, I have trouble with computer programs, adjusting for the harmonic motion of the outside cam, and the shift from the inside cam to the outside cam

What's the benefit for you in either?

The benefit for me is to know the truth.

I get more benefit from believing people who are telling the truth and believing people who are not telling the truth because most people are honest and tell the truth.

If most people are liars then ovyyusly,... ;-)... it is more beneficial to disbelieve.

Most people claiming to have a working PM model are liars.

I doubt that. I believe most people who claim to have a working PM are mistaken.

If Fcdriver does not have a working PM then it will be because he is mistaken, not because he is a liar trying to deceive us.

Don't you agree?

Believing or disbelieving is a false dilemma. There are always more options. Keeping an impartial mind, for example, doesn't force you to guess whether or not someone is lying. One benefit of trying to circumvent the belief process is more freedom to question everything.

Fcdriver probably isn't lying, he's probably driven by a parasitic belief that his idea is right. Not an uncommon condition around here.

Remember what Frank Driver posted earlier about his test. This should tell a lot. In a since we have to believe we have it and then we have to prove it to ourselves and then to others. After that we rejoice, or eat crow, a dish most of us are to antiquated with I'm sure.
First second or third run? The first five minutes, I wasn't ready and broke it stopping it.by the fourth run my tent(pvc, covered by tarp)I made it under failed and the plywood cams got wet. The bearings apply too much pressure for delaminating plywood, am replacing them with hard plastic. Am experimenting with different amounts of weight on the wheel its self vs the amount on the levers. Am trying to get to the least amount of weight needed, so I know the amount and size of magnets/coil, I can replace them with. Extending the levers vs adding weight, yes there is still a lot of testing going on. The way I have it setup, I don't have to make the wheel larger, but adjust the levers. Am I claiming it is 100 % perfect no! Do I have all of my final testing done no, not by far! Do I have 100% finished product, to show, no, not till I paint it.

A first run of 5 minutes sounds pretty good to me. One (not I) can run a mile in 5 minutes.

I want to cover several ideas beginning with this:
Grimer wrote:I don't think we need to worry about how much energy it produces compared to solar panels, Walter.
If it produces any energy at all on a continuous basis then it's the discovery of the millennium.
The point was the inexactness of the comparison. I don't disagree what a significant find Bessler's wheel will be. Staggering comes to mind.

I'll further add to that point w/o the intellectual gymnastics of "what is is":
Energy is a human construct. Its definition is set in the granite of mathematics. Lacking a redefinition, there is no changing the idea it can't be created within the conservative field of gravity.
This is immutable and beyond debate.

Since you mentioned the idea of a power stroke and people were trying to picture what you've built, I simulated the motion of swinging a sledge. That seemed to me to be what you were talking about.

Image

I put this mechanism at the top and let it drop. The velocity spiked as it fell, yet for all its extra power it couldn't quite make it back to the top. The red line was at BDC (7/10 seg). The dog leg at the beginning was (maybe) the simulation of readjusting its hands to bring the sledge down.

I'll qualify this: This is just my idea of your idea and how wm2d interpreted it; it isn't your idea.

However:
It seems to confirm what physicists have been saying for some time; momentum is conserved also.
Here we are patiently waiting for paint to dry, but I want to make another point.

Please don't take this personally Frank, but as we're sitting here waiting I noticed something right from the beginning but I haven't mentioned it. It's the link I posted earlier:

http://www.gazettejournal.net/index.php ... ntme/17448

I took key words from what you said initially and found that page on the web but when I go to the paper and search for your name or Force Controlled Drive the article doesn't show.

When I pull up any article and copy/paste some text back into the search function that article comes up again, but with your article nothing comes up.

I'm not calling shenanigans but I do find this rather strange.

Please don't take this personally; it's just an observation.
