James... Some clarification regarding some of your statements... Have you successfully built a working PM wheel? I can see your building one, but you have made some bold claims like, "OH YES by the way, IT WORKS!"
And you have so generously offered, "If some one deems it appropriate I will send my pics." - Please DO! I deem it very appropriate! Now since your machine has been already Patented... You have nothing to lose by enlightening us all with your success! You have said that, "I will send some real pictures and an assurance that it does work. BY UNIMPEachable people." Where are they? Do you not have a drawing? Have you not been told of the configuration? have you not been told of the weight amounts? have you not been told of the lift rates? what do you want me to do, build it for you?Yes, I can supply all you ask, but why? you know all their is to know!

" - So the gradient of the ramp must keep a constant force on the ascending weight? - Well I don't really see how that will overcome the leverage problem as I have mentioned earlier. But to gain maximum power you need very steep lobe profiles (as with roller cams) which would have a very large acceleration componant on your valves. If you remember back to Ralph's photo that he was 'allowed' to publish you will have worked out from that what James's concept was. Static eccentric guide that weights must follow. Trouble was even with the 'one addition' to make the ascending side have zero weight Ralph could not get it to work. Ralph also said it was a commonly tried idea.
Apparently it needed further fine tuning re internal friction, better bearings etc, *** strange*** which could easily be overcome by zero weight on the ascending side from the 'one addition'.
Conclusions: James hasn't shown or described to Ralph the 'one addition' to get it to work. James likes playing games.

James, I think you'll find most are receptive to a solution - that's why we're here!
Rather than bashing people over the head with their views, why not clarify your design? I don't understand your inefficient approach.

James may have good reasons for not revealing his method of overcoming counter torques in his Hurford-like design. Perhaps since no one else has discovered this method, he intends to patent it and, at that time, we will finally see exactly what the design is that allowed him to construct working gravity machines in the past.
I think much of what one thinks of James really comes down to whether or not one believes that he was successful in the past in building such a device. So far, I have no reason to doubt him and admit that I am still curious as to how he could have accomplished what he claimed to accomplish.
I think that he would like to reveal all to everyone's satisfaction, but, really, what's in it for him right now if he is in the process of seeking a patent on the design?

On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:
Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ

Ken... I can understand where you are coming from, but all James has to do is tell us that! All he has to say is, "guys, I have worked it out, I am in the process of getting a patent"... Then we would understand. But James has basically given us the run around. Even told us that his design had been patented already. He has offered pictures and testimony from unimpeachable sources! He has stated that we have all been given the information that he has offered us.. He hasn't. He doesn't respond to my questions for clarification. I am sure we are all eager to learn if he has cracked it. But not by him dangling a carrot in front of our faces..

Have you ever written anything and had it publicized?
Back when you were in your prime of discovery.
If you want to make sure people on the forum stay home when you patent, I think you are succeeding.
Using typo errors is not too convincing.
Can you change anything in this drawing to show where I am wrong?

if your machine uses gravity together with the magnetism probably it really work !
I am convinced that with the gravity force united to a magnetic system obtaining the perpetual motion is possible.
Also I believe to have found a solution to obtain perpetual motion only with the magnetic force. I have put my idea here:
