I did think of a little level platform and imagined the rods have a wheel on the end.
Then the Over-Balance and K.E. might put the rod back to its starting position.
Using your line as a guide it would help to follow the outer curve until the horizontal position. That will stop it sliding back.
What this topic is focused on is the slide, rotation rate and the return spring.
When I say spring I actually mean elastic rope. with K the elastic strength not being constant.

Opps; sorry for un-focusing your thread. I guess you don’t think a multiplication of force is needed.What this topic is focused on is the slide, rotation rate and the return spring.
What goes around, comes around.

@daxwc
Thanks for the MT135 suggestion. Hopefully the maths will help prevent the need to the bounce.
Also ME the formula01 has been updated with an alternative notation and a proof of MOI of a rod rotating at the center to it rotating from an end.
This looks interesting for a composite MOI

The formula01 page has been updated with something complex.
This complex formula and it's implementation is the direction I am on at this time.
This formula is presenting the effect of gravity, CF and inertial of one half of a two headed bar.
Still Studying.

@Gregory
Thank you for checking out the formula01 page.
I can not agree with you more to both questions.
I think proving the device with equations, a web site and a real device
is required to turn around social inertia.
I have learned a lot while on 'The Quest'.
Maybe the journey is part of the benefits with this.
