Grim...

I find myself in agreement with Robert. From playing around with the basic design on WM2D, I realized that it is essentially the same as several of the "dipping" weighted levers designs I tested to death over in the early part of my "...Updates" thread on the Community Buzz forum. These designs just do not work...

On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:

Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ

So if you can get this to work, than maybe all your other designs will work ?

No, I would not waste any more time with this approach...I am convinced that it is a dead end. Besides, it's so simple that if it did work or could be made to work, then it surely would have been long ago.

Bessler's design was, IMO, a little more complicated than this...but, not too much more...
