It Would Be More Noble To Clear J. Bessler's Name, than trying to solely profit

Ralph,
U asked about the toothpick...
Tried breaking one tonight when my wife an I were eating out. I think a toothpick is actually a lot stronger than the force I hand apply to each weight.
The wheel is not perfectly balanced. The weights are never evenly spaced. Like I said, it takes a large force applied by hand to go over the hump so the first weight falls, then once it does, everything smooths out, and there are no humps as long as I continue to apply that slight force at each weight.
When I stop tapping at each weight, the wheel stops after the next three weights pass.

Iwill speak for myself. Ralph is a fine brother and I would not suppose to speak for him. i am having some difficulty just as Robert is. there is tuning needed to make the light weight unit run correctly. It is not the end of the world yet. with the correct tweaking ours should be running. iT IS NOT running yet. I am working on something different and of magnetic application right now. Robert is doing great to be where he is with his unit. GOD is so good to us. jim kelly

I think you'll find that I did spell "vengeance" correctly.Coylo Buddy,
Gotta aim a little higher with me...
"Vengence"--- I want to avenge Bessler for the shabby treatment he received.
It ended up everybody thinking he was a swindler, (and many still do),
Coylo, a working machine would fix that problem.
I think you should consider changing your avatar from "The Thinker" to a dunce cap maybe?
I don't have to "aim any higher" when you make a good job of making yourself look stupid for me...........cheers!
Man, your pulling on my heart-strings with your little avenger mission, well.......maybe not!

And how about U? U seem hostile to the idea.

Wheeler, Robert and all,

James has supplied me with the original drawings and tolerance must be exacting, right now I am showing to be 3/16" to 1/4" out from meeting specs at critical radius points. At present the rotor is being tested without adding the driver weights, when correct it should turn on its own.
The race is on as to see who will admit to win or defeat first. As of tonight using james's calculations we are showing [an advantage of .3550298lbs] calculated on rotor weight only.
This is not enough to overcome "start up" and friction loss requirements. If I were to fire it up with a drill motor the results may prove to be interesting. That is not my goal, I know I will not have achieved 100% of possible net gain until it's a self starter. I want to meet or beat Bessler's ability to simply untie it and let it go. It is a one-way wheel and therefore be self starting with maximum torque at zero rpm. I will settle for no less and will not claim that the fat lady sings until I do so.
Any farther posts regarding the James Kelly wheel will be on his thread. Please do not hold your breath in anticipation as It may be awhile yet, I am a busy man with to many irons in the fire.
Thank you and regards
Ralph

Yes I have finished the reconstruction of the James Kelly wheel two days ago. No it is not running but requires no more applied input than Roberts toothpick every 45 degrees of rotation.Iwill speak for myself.
