Was ralph trying to say that John is as blind as the rest of us but tells a good story?
Sorry for that guys I have a weird sense of humour

Hello Trevor,
It has been some time since I have communicated with you and for that I take the blame.
The blind man at the window is a story posted in Off-topic regarding the story of a blind man dedicated to enlightening his room mate who could not see out the window. What was described was obviously a lie, but it gave daily incentive to his otherwise handicapped ward mate.
The same happens here! Every time a member speaks of having a possible runner it entices the rest of us to sharpen our innovative skills and push forward.
And yes, although John published the books I do not feel that he holds any advantage over the rest of us. Time has proven that he is treading water with the rest who believe they are getting close.
John, IMO made no attempt to tell a good story with his publications, on the contrary he did his best to document the statements and writings of Bessler and the eyewitnesses whether they be fact or alleged.
As for 'what ever you say can be taken the wrong way'... I believe that Bessler did a fine job of doing that himself. As for your sense of humor, I find no sarcasm intended.
Ralph

Hi Ralph,
Its good to hear from you again, always a wise word! if John fails to build a running gravity wheel, you and I know at least he will be in good company.
I am certain that John will let us all know either way, yes I voted yes!
If I knew forums had spill chik I would have joined a long time ago!

Depends waltzCee, say you look at the problem from all angles and think there's no way you are going to make a buck from it, or it ain't worth spoiling your life over; say the quest and/or beating some people who think they are real experts and brains is the real kick ? Or you are just a pig headed nutcase who doesn't believe "imposible" is possible ? Or who doesn't really mind sharing ?WaltzCee wrote: (excerpt, editing by nicb)
... If someone is in this search for glory all they have to do is build an idea that works. The world will come around to it...
Want some ideas I think are worth looking and am working on right now ?
1. Look back to the "dominoes cascade" thread. Cute idea. Unlikely to work with dominoes. But if you have a set of little seesaw devices weighted each end which balance nicely around horizontal... Blow on one, it tips, and as it tips it hits slightly the next one in line. These things are finely set, takes nothing to unbalance them. They return to balance after some bouncing up and down. Make the line or circle long enough. If it doesn't work in that config, there will be another way to do it. Sim it if you want, you'll see the things can't be just simple hinged levers hitting each other, there are "levers" or impact wires required to hit in the right sequence and on the "correct" side of each seesaw in the sequence.
2. Extrapolate from above scenario (consider it won't work, that's fine), you have these very sensitive to COG change devices mounted on a steel plate. The plate you have centrally ball pivot mounted and limited in travel, suspended at each corner by an appropriate extension spring mounted in a almost horizontal plain. So what ? Well, you have a chaos system working within limits which don't stop the movement, but start it again or amplify it. Again so what ? This system you use to upset a much more massive system susceptible to angle change. You have direct action from the things hitting each other, you have vibe through the plate, you have plate bounce and tilt... 'nuff said.
3. Giant egg timer. So what ? Takes not much to flip. If pressure of medium is high enough, eg enough volume weighing on the passage between the two "bottles", you turn a little turbine. OK, this one isn't pm, but it looks like it could be OU. Don't like the egg timer ? Make it very finely balanced deadweight, spin and drive a big flywheel. Again, not PM, but a likely way of manually generating elec without undue effort. That one's not going to change the face of the Western world, sure.
4. The horizontal wheel on beam I already described "loosely". OK, there are some important points left out, one of which is the shape of the beam. Who says a oscillator beam has to be straight if it being straight means that the device won't work because of things traveling in the same arc hitting each other? By not straight I mean something like a recurve bow. Or a double recurve.
So why aren't I showing all this ? point 4 I don't want to yet. Point 1, it's zero celsius at best in the barn, this stuff can wait a bit. Point 2, this is the most important one for me, trying to create a chaotic device which works. In addition to temperature, I'm waiting for a 100 piece pack of assorted springs from UK, seems over here nobody sells 'em. True PM lies IMO in using chaos. As to non-chaotic domino success (unlikely, but you won't know 'till you try), it'd be fun. Just fun, because you'd need to drill, pivot and topple stonehenge to get any e from that, and you get taken away if you muck around with Stonehenge. "Man helping police inquiry into Stonehenge drilling and pivotting to make domino cascade".
Then there is point 5, and nobody is going to hear a word about that one. But if it works big as i hope, yep, it'll get aired. This contradicts initial pargrah ? Nope, just if it works, it's going to be a mammoth problem, men in black, alien abduction, nobel prize and we got nowhere to hang the certificate...
I'm deluded ? Like most all forum members. And don't forget, i'm one of them pesky newbies, frolicking all over the field like a adrelanine high foal, shooting from the hip and asking questions afterwards like a crack high John Wayne. Like all them other pesky newbies :)
John Collins, since that is the initial intent of the thread ? Admirable. And a very nice person to top that.
If you think you have an overunity device, think again, there is no such thing. You might just possibly have an unexpectedly efficient device. In which case you will be abducted by MIB and threatened by aliens.

Jim, remember the days when you were a fresh newbie frolicking all over the place and spouting ideas left, right and center. Don't tell me no, I checked the archives :)

And every so often there was a loud collective "GASP" from the audience as someone shouted EUREKA !!!
reminds one of the gasp and murmur of the crowd at Johannes demo as he plucked the bull fiddle string as he replaced the weights !!!

A new post on JC's site seems to give him just one more year to reveal all he knows--which is everything to make a wheel work, however, the only hang-up is his lack of construction ability.
Well, this is just sad on many levels.
How much longer must I wait??
