The new cheaper version of wm2d is called - Interactive Physics - it costs $250 or thereabouts. You can swap files with wm2d by renamimg them with the suffix.ip & can still run your scripts, says Rainer.
I think they have just released a cheaper version to appeal to a new & broader market. They probably renamed & rebranded it so their professional customers don't feel short changed at 10 times the price.
winkle .. it may take hours & hours just to build one part mech. Then you may have to tweak it or scrap it & rebuild a different way. You can't anticipate everything in advance. 10 minutes at a time snatched in the workshop doesn't cut it.

Lying is not the issue, your lack of evidence is!I DON'T come in here to do battle. This type of treatment makes me want to shut up and kill. none of you have earned my respect. what reason would I have to lie? Please let me know why I would lie? James L. Kelly

James
How long till production starts and i can trade in my old generator for a new power source?.
How much would a unit be worth?
I think at the moment you may be the favourite to take out first place.
All the best

LustInBlack,
The meaning of some proverbs change over time and the horse before the cart is one of them. I have never in my life seen a horse pulling a cart. To do so he would have to have a rope attached to the cart, held in his teeth and be backing up!
A horse pushes into the harness with his chest which in turn is connected to the cart. The harness is doing the pulling, the horse is pushing.
[This thread is by far the most interesting one I've read in a while.]
I agree it is not boring to say the least!
{Ralph, I would like some input by private mail about current evolution, is that possible!?]
Current evolution is by private mail. I do not knowingly forward or pass on any information received in confidence unless approved by party's involved. The ongoing converstation on this thread is one that I can only add my personal input.
BTW, without any offense, I think if someone here has the solution, this solution must be protected (Backed up is a better way to express myself).
I mean, this information must be distributed to some people before something bad happen, memory loss, death or whatever.
[Why not uploading this idea on a server in an encrypted file !?
This file could be unencrypted by brute-force but that would take very long. So this idea would be secure for some time in the eventuality something happen. All is not lost, an open-project could emerge and many computers around the net would decrypt the file.. . It would take a relatively short amount of time to do and the information is protected..
A kind of time protected scheme ..
Think about that solution.....]
It is common knowledge for those that trust me to know that I have an extra isolated drive in my computer. I have a folder for each individual that I work with on viable ideas. This is known as the F: drive and is only accessible by me with password.
At members request I file data in their folder and act as a third party back up and substantiation if legal matters should arise. Each file is identified by member surname. Upon my demise or become incapacitated the pass word is in my last will and testament but not recorded in that portion that is on file in my local court house.
Michael,
Ralph
I was not thinking about a stop as per say! However the force of the weight interacts with wheel causing rotation is irrelevant. The horse must be capable of moving the cart.Ralph, that comment about the horse is about a weight pulling the wheel when falling instead of falling onto a stop!?
At least that how I interpret it, I don't want to have a false interpretation of that statement, so can you just state if what I say is true or false (About your own interpretation) ?!

Michael,
I need not go into detail on this as you know where some of your time dated letters are.Lust that is a good idea. I know not much of how to program. That could also work as per my idea. I would have to give it some thought. Do you have any easy templates?
Edit.
Actually a partial solution might be to start a false email account through yahoo and mail a letter there with the details, the letter would be time dated. Then all one would have to do is supply the password to show proof that the concept was known.

Hi Ralph,
Yes there are a few things I sent you. Some of them are blueprints for parts of my current invention. I haven't sent the working concept though. I've been playing this very safe. I want to think over what else to do.Right now I am drafting and calculating as many possible variations and variables as I can and am putting them into a journal. I want to make sure that I am not bypassing a possible easier build than what I have designed.

The thing is Michael, Ken has already has it covered by his 4th law & rest mass hypothesis. Ken's gottcha by the short & curly's ;) You'd better cut him in along with anyone else who might have at one time or another thought of something remotely similar in application & published anything about it. First up best dressed. History will only remember the one who built a working wheel, not the also rans. Producing concepts to claim a share of the recognition after the event might seem a bit lame. Now, a full set of blue prints of exactly how it would work would be more impressive & might get some photo time ;)

Ralph : Your F: drive as you say it, is not necessarily a good solution for a backup..
What happen if you get a virus or a thunder strike on your computer!? .. No more F: drive .
The idea is to distribute the file but still in an encrypted form ..
The idea of the letter is not bad either ..
As long as the information is protected by a password. .That password can be 1) distributed or 2) cracked .. ..
Anyways, the point is the information is PRECIOUS.. It might be independant thought and knowledge, but please, if by any chance someone have the solution, make it known, protect it, and distribute it.
Ralph, not sure then what is your interpretation of the horse, it looks kind of vague.. but in a sense, you make it sound more like Bessler did say: That same thing, can be thought in an other way.
The actual input I wanted from your private group, was not private information, more an actual status of the global group.. Some news so to speak .. ;]
Anyways ... I wasn't working on the wheel for the last month, but I'm back and I will find the answer! 8]

Really boys, don't be so jumpy!!!
Twas only poking fun at the WORD itself....depravement. It seems to not be a word, or at least not one used in a VERY long time.
Perhaps rlortie meant to say mentally derelect or something. Now that would not be funny at all!
Anyone going after the PM solution has an odd kind of respect from me. I just don't think it is ever going to happen.
I hope contrarian viewpoints are welcome here.
This discussion board is hearalded as a "free-for-all", and I hope it won't become too "closed down" and stogy.
