By posting those first words, which you attributed to a biblical person by name, you inspired Turninator to carry the conversation further, quoting many religious passages. And then Turninator made another posting doing more quoting.Dwylbtzle wrote:since when do you guys get to make bible quotes and deny them to others
or attempt to dictate what i say?
i quoted 8 words from Jesus--which RELATED to the topic or at least previous posts
no apologies
So you Dwylbtzle, were the instigator. You started it. So stop your bellyaching.
The only time I quote the Bible here on the forum is from Proverbs, and I only quote non-religious passages. And only in reply to religious quoting. The reason is that quoting the Bible lends more credibility when replying to a person quoting the bible. It is harder for them to refute what I say.
I could be quoting from Confucius. Proverbs is simply a collection of intelligent statements handed down from ancient times. Some Proverbs speak of God. Many don't. I do not see Proverbs as being religious when they simply pass on intelligent thought.
Delusions and religions seem to go hand in hand. You would not believe the religious ranting that can develop when a person is infected with both perpetual motion and religious strains of delusion.
The common consensus here on the forum is to leave religion out of most all conversations. Bessler was a religious person. Religious thoughts can be discussed if you're discussing some religious statement made by Bessler. Otherwise, park the religious remarks elsewhere.
