Someone has spent a lot of time and effort on the Stellarotor concept.

Hello iacob alex

How are you progressing on this concept?

Hi Agor95 !
Regarding this subject…I made a single blank experiment ( low rpm…) , with an unique crude ( non evolved ) model (2008) , only.

Sensible way forward by starting with a low cost test.
Then use that test too weight the worth of progressing more.

Thank for the reply

Hi Agor95 !
Thank you for suggestions…as you know : usually we need the test first , the lesson/idea after !
If the idea can be the root of creation of “something “ related to physical world , it must be tempered with our games of reality.
I hope for a new test…

There is forced discipline in grounding ideas with engineering.

Some find it a painful fall when the stark reality that their knowledge is incomplete.

As their idea is in the air and they drop.

This is an intriguing original design. Odd I woke this morning thinking on the first of my 4 concepts.

It can use two egg shaped cams. Here is an image that also involves two possible cams.

We minimize a common concept with three spare parts (piston-connecting rod-crank) into a two spare parts (rotating-sliding rod and crank ) only…..intended to take advantage ,controlling rotational inertia in a half plane.

…..with a controllable double pendulum ! ?
Starting with some introductory sites :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_pendulum
https://i.stack.imgur.com/ibCXc.jpg
https://www.scienceabc.com/pure-science ... dulum.html
…..and thinking/ playing as a “two sticks game…” ( see a topic of this forum ) , we can simplify our interactions with reality.
A double pendulum : two sticks , two full rotating joints ( fixed,mobile ) in a 2D planar “space”…exhibits an irregular , uncontrollable trajectories…..as an “untamed “motion.
The motions of the same double pendulum can be “tamed” if we introduce a third fixed rotating-sliding joint …and playing it “double” , as :
www.geocities.ws/iacob_alex/Inertial_Ro ... led033.jpg (pos.13).

Welcome to my world. Just look at the formula and imagine doing that in 3 dimensions X, Y, & Z.

Also note you have to integrate using a numerical method [iterative program].
The default Euler integration method is know to increase energy by error.

So other Runge-Kutta methods are used to improve accuracy.
