Thanks for the link. I discovered that I was born on a Thursday and the moon was just a thin waxing cresent at the time and beginning a new lunar month...kind of reminds me of a weight at BDC in one of Bessler's wheels beginning its ascent phase. I also was born in the year of the Rabbit according to the Chinese calendar...maybe that explains why I am always seeking quick solutions to problems!

On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:

Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ
