Hope this performs as spectacularly for anyone who's interested as it does for me....
For those of you who have the ear of the vendor, maybe this could be used to convince them they've got some problems...
Note that after I moved one of the lower bars with "send to back", it "kicked" something that made it give one jump greater than starting,and then settled down - but if run immediately after creation, its sort of like the energizer bunny, but a bit more graceful.
And to boot, the bar configuration does provide a rather neat motion (IMO).
Somebody else add the image if they like - the board doesn't accept .bmp,and its not currently easy for me to convert it...

Interesting arrangement of levers. Yes, it will flip around perpetually...but, just so long as the air resistance is set to "none". When set to "low" the motion quickly dies.

On 7/6/06, I found, in any overbalanced gravity wheel with rotation rate, ω, axle to CG distance d, and CG dip angle φ, the average vertical velocity of its drive weights is downward and given by:
Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ
Vaver = -2(√2)πdωcosφ
