Are you part of the problem?

Thinking of a write in! Why should I only have the choice of two people when I do not think either is what we need in the Oval Office...

By voting at all you are implicitly validating the corrupt system that gave you this false choice. Don't do it.

According to Frank Sinatra Jr, at a recent concert,(Sinatra sings Sinatra) we have only had one president that was worth his salt! George Washington, he had no predecessors to lay the blame on.
With the present choices one may do better saving their vote for impeachment.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.
I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.
I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.
I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.
I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.
I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.
I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THE GOVERNMENT seeʼs fit.
I'm voting Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.
I'm voting Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my @#% it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

Whether Democrat or Republican, I think you'll get a kick out of this!
Ok! Scott, you got me on a roll, can you stand anymore? :-)A little boy goes to his dad and asks, 'What is Politics?'
Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way :
I am the head of the family, so call me The President.
Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the "People".
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.
Now think about that and see if it makes sense.'
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.
Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him.
He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper.
So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny 's room. Finding the door locked , he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.
The next morning, the little boy says to his father, 'Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.'
The father says, 'Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.'
The little boy replies, 'The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep, The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep $hit.

HERE IS MY CANDIDATE....
An alleged quote from Bill Cosby
I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE.
HERE IS MY PLATFORM:
(1) 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.
(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports.
We will use the 'Wal-Mart's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'
(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.
(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (six month tour) They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.
(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't gettin nuttin out. The president nor any other politician will not be able to touch it.
(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.
(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you're banned for life.
(8) Crime - We will adopt the Tur kish method, the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more life sentences. If convicted, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for your victim; gun, knife, strangulation, etc.
(9) One export will be allowed; Wheat, The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.
(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.
(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.
(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.
Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes but a vote for me will get you better than what you have, and better than what you're gonna get. Thanks for listening, and remember to write in my name on the ballot in November.
God Bless America !!!!!!!!!!!

China, China, China. Vote for China
5 trillion of the National Debt is owed to China
Rather than investing in their own people from the return generated from profits selling their productivity to the world, China has lent the same money to the US instead, creating a suplus of dollars to lend for home mortgages inflating home mortgage value. That inflation caught up. Just an opinion.
www.bea.gov 1. Interactive data tables 2. National income and product accounts 3. frequently requested NIPA tables 4. Table 3.1 Look at the amount spent by the Feds on interest payments to the rest of the world compared to total interest payments. Sorry about the long way around to the table. How much of those payments go to China? Just a thought.

I was getting plagued with 3 or 4 phone calls a day to take political surveys. I told one that I had already "early voted". They hung up before I did, and I haven't had one of those annoying phone calls since.
An idea I've had to return gov't back to true representation of the people is this:
> If you're registered to vote, your name goes into the "pool".
> A selection of names gets randomly drawn from the pool (kind of like being selected for jury duty.)
> The voters get to elect one of the candidates (after debates, public interviews, etc.)
> The winner gets a nice salary, doesn't have to pay rent, mortgage, or property taxes (on their primary residence), and a few other perks.
Some advantages:
> No need for term limits (and chances are you'll only ever get picked once.)
> We can't do any worse than what we already have in there.
(The best way to implement this new system is from the local level up.)
;-)

The illusion of choice...
The solution to the crisis that is politics in this country will never come about from the Federal Government itself. They are the problem. Real change needs to come from the states in the form of them putting their foot down and saying "enough is enough" with this draconian Federal taxation (which flagrantly violates the 10th Amendment and Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution).
I always get a good chuckle when the hacks from either "side" go on and on about how they're side is somehow without any fault while the other is 100% to blame. What they don't realize is that there is no two sides. There is only the Republicrats who pretend to be different via. inconsequential wedge issues that have no real effect on 99.99% of people in this country. In reality, the only thing they care about is getting re-elected. That's it.

Doc,
I thought congressmen were subject to background checks but just read all they do is promise not to reveal any of the nation's secrets. Randy "Duke" Cunningham had access to sensitive material while being investigated for bribery.
I still have my original birth certificate but know I could get a copy from the state of my birth. I don't know why Obama won't resolve the matter by allowing that record keeping agency from Hawaii release his.
Who vetted Obama?
Walt

re: Election time
While there's not much difference between Coke and Pepsi, there is enough to tell the difference. There might not seem that much difference between two political choices, but there is a difference.
How many trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives has the US wasted in it's invasion of Iraq on the false premise (worse, it was fabricated) that it was retaliating against the source of the 9/11 attack? There might not seem a huge difference between one presidential candidate or another, but a small difference is often all that stands between leading a country into a senseless and wasteful war - or not.
If that is true, then your vote obviously counts for something.
