Website Stats - Dec 2008

Post by scott »

Hi All,

Now that I've moved the site to a remote hosting service, I have access to some better statistics than I had before. Here are some interesting highlights from the month of December:

Code: Select all

Month Unique visitors Number of visits Pages Hits Bandwidth
Dec 2008 9685 24548 205057 1008071 11.35 GB
Wow, over a million hits and 11 gigabytes transferred. No wonder my poor dsl router couldn't handle it anymore. :-)

Here are some more stats on countries, operating systems, and browsers:

Looks like apple only has about 2.7% market share here.

Also, good to see Firefox catching up quick on IE.

Firefox is brilliant!

Hotmail kept seizing up on us even with windows updates etc.

I'd recommend everybody upgrading to Firefox. And the AdBlock feature (add on) is great!

Clearly you read it wrong. It says ALL visitors here are unique, including you. :-)

Unique visitors: 9685

means somewhere around 10,000 individual human beings accessed the site in Dec 2008, based on algorithms that are less than perfect.

Just to be clear, that count is separate just for the home page not the whole web site, and it is actually a count of hits on that page, not unique visitors.

There used to be a diagram with a world map showing statistics.

What happened to it - or am I looking in the wrong place?

Two points to follow

1. Click on the 'Forum Index' and scroll down to see the bottom right map.

2. Some anti-advert software prevent it running.

P.S. I would be good to see the stats done again to allow comparison to the first posts data on this thread.

Many thanks, agor. I turned off my add blocker for the site and up it popped.👍

Have you understood why the "beautiful" Dutch energy comes from EG and not NG yet.

The reason I looked for the map is that I want to follow the development of interest as it dawns on people that the world has a new source of energy.

Especially the CIA. 😎

I am glad my advice worked for you.

As to the 'Sjack' device I have a few thoughts.

Without something to back them up at this time I am keeping quiet :-)

Won't do you any good. If the Dutchmen have what they claim the CIA will adopt Herod's tactics and suicide us all. 😎
