I am a crank and proud of it!

I am a crank and proud of it!
Greetings all
If the pursuit of perpetual motion makes me a crank. Then I am a crank and proud of it.
For being a crank means having and open mind and not afraid to dream. Though we face ridicule from the closed minded, we will prevail just as those before us who have prevailed against the overwhelming odds.
Please join with me and proclaim your own crank hood! :)

Hey guys,
A glass of wine was just enough to become "Appreciated" on this forum !!!
It had to be said earlier: I should be "Venerated"!
Thanks everybody, you are really all cranks, and I'm very proud to be among you.

Well AB...
You can be as proud as you please among the rest of us here, but simply having others or the general public take any of us seriously might be biting off a little more than we either can or really want to chew.
Better that they think we're all a bit dotty or eccentric or simply have an "unusual" hobby, at least they leave us alone in peace so we can concentrate and work on the not so small matter of revolutionizing the entire planet with a few weights and some bits of wood and whatever other goodies we can manage to scrounge up...hmmm? LOL
To paraphrase Lawrence of Arabia...
"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, awake by day to find it was all vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes and turn it into a reality..." or words to that effect.
So we are all very dangerous fellows AB. The fewer that actually know that about us the better the chances are that we may actually get to turn our dream into a reality, is all.
So whenever you strut your stuff in public, don't forget that, and always wear a nice big smile because they haven't the faintest idea what you really have under your hat!

Silverfox Poe too has a quote regarding those who dream by day and those who dream at night.
"Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape those who dream only at night."

Not only am I Frank the Crank but, believe it or not, I live in a house full of Nutters.
Daddy Nutter (an architect - you know how nutty they are), Mummy Nutter (a philosopher - even nuttier) and three grandchildren Nutters.

To be a crank in SF is to be among friends.
re: I am a crank and proud of it!
Is that in San Fransisco or Sci-Fi. Both?

Just San Francisco. Science fiction isn't allowed here, only opera.
