Time to enable avatars?

Post by scott »

Hi All,
Thanks to all of you out there who use this board. I was recently considering turning on a new feature of the board called avatars. Most of you probably already know what avatars are, but for those who don't avatars are small iconic images that represent a person online.

I have not enabled them so far because I had been going for a more technical, less whimsical overall aesthetic feel to the board. But now I'm reconsidering. Avatars might be fun! But I would keep them very small.

What do you all think? I'll let the majority decide on this one.

I think we should. BTW, I have dibs on Professor John Frink (as seen on The Simpsons). :) Hey, maybe we should enable smilies too!

Well, the majority has spoken. Avatars are now enabled. Have fun!
Note: avatars, like ranks, signatures, and contact links, will only appear once per page.

P.S. maximum avatar size is 80 x 80 pixels

The trouble is, one is not enough!
It's so hard to decide.
Do I want Rodney Dangerfield?
Or Mr. Spock?
Decisions, decisions....

Ha ha! That's a good one!
Leave it there please! When I get tired of the one I just put up I'll probably be back to get it.
Thanks!

It's the legendary JR "Bob" Dobbs. (I have the 1st ed. comic book too!)
