Have you ever felt your cell phone was going to ring seconds before it went off? I can honestly say I have. Check this out.

re: Scary crap
Well, if it is true, that needs replication by quite a few people. Also that video should be copied onto everybody's HD.
Then, a registered letter should be sent to the phone operators of the world, and to the telephone manufacturers, asking for explanations.
The tame scientests who have reassured us that mobiles are not dangerous should be asked, their answers put on record.
Replies and lack of replies should be published online. Copies circulated as far and wide as possible.
Again, if that is replicable, it should be explained to people in clear terms what amount/form of energy was involved in popping that corn.
They did us on asbestos, on tobacco, on Chernobyl, Three Mile island, Seascale (late 80's report showed child cancer rate 10 x higher than normal in Seascale village) which "they" changed the name of to Sellafield. Just change the name and it's OK. We're being done on pesticides, depleted ur weapons, you name it, we're being done. Processed food or additives causing obesity.
I'm not a hippy. Nor an "antiglobilization puritan/freak. But that popcorn thing, if true, is BIG.
What's the link with "PM" or alternative energies ? We're being fiddled again. The potential for wind, solar, with a modicum of planning and intelligence is phenomenal. That and other energies to be developped. Not invented. Developped.
Thx for the link Michael, I'd suggest everybody circulate that to all email contacts.
EDIT : "Supposedly" this is a hoax, but some are linking this to the HAARP project, which relies heavily on Tesla's work revisited and patented (87-94) by one Bernard Eastlund. The vid is supposedly a "viral advert" and attempts at replication have failed. Scientific arguments against are that popcorn pops at 180° celcius and that no mobile can generate microwaves powerful enough to do that. Which is saying that it must be a "traditional" microwave phenomenen.
Tommorow, the wife and I are going to try our mobiles around a plate of Spaghetti Bolgnese.

Michael, it could be true, but it could also be faked:
place the popcorn for a short time in a microwave oven.
Take them out before they pop.
If you were to leave them on the table alone they would pop anyhow as the pressure inside keeps building over time.
Once you know what the delay is before they pop, just put the phones around them for effect and get the timing right!

re: Scary crap
Fake, do you wonder why they cover the table all they way around, down to the floor ? The effect from those phones are way to small. Likely a magnetron mounted under the tableplate..

re: Scary crap
Oystein I was thinking the same thing. But I wonder would anyone be so daring to let an open magnetron operate around them without it being shielded? I know a lot of times when my cell phone is about to loose it's signal if I press the phone close to my head the transmission strengthens. Not to happy realizing it's using the form of my head as a receiver. It should be replicated to see if it's real.
Edit. Got this one from my mom, think I posted to soon.
Just found a site debunking it. One person does bring up a good point, anyone familiar with popping popcorn in the microwave will know it takes a while before the popcorn starts to pop but these ones popped relatively fast.

re: Scary crap
This video and similar others were produced by Cardo System as an advertising gimmick to help sell more of their Blue-Tooth headsets. The video was made by editing out the un-popped kernels and dropping popped kernels onto the table.

re: Scary crap
Still, this is an example of the evil of the "anything goes / no holds barred" (yes, evil) no taboo marketting/propaganda.
The guy who claims to have done this as a publicity stunt as a part of campaign to sell bluetooth kits knows people are woried about cell phone radiation. So the fake popcorn, everybody gets worried or else. Then he says "hahahhah it was a joke ya can't pop corn with a mobile phone", and everybody thinks 'ach so, ze mobile phone is safe it vont pop corn".
And nobody asks "And since when has not being able to pop corn been a sign of safety ? Does a radioactive leak pop corn ? Does arsenic pop corn ?
These guys should be in prison. or hung by the wotsits.
