bug into a 'quote' misstructured post

Post by path_finder »

Dear Scott,
There is apparently a bug in the post management software:
I was able to modify the message of Obelix (see above here: http://www.besslerwheel.com/forum/viewt ... 0203#80203)
The 'edit' button was replaced in that case by a 'quote' button, like shown in the attached screen shot below.
This is coming apparently from a wrong structure of his original message.

The original post was (if it can help):
---- start -----
open bracketquote="Obelix"closed bracketBsr,

Dear Path-finder my english is very poor so ......
I have simulated your wheel in WM2D and have modified the weight in different ratio from 10 to 50 Kg for the two.
The result are always the same : oscillations dues to the construction and stop ....
If you want i can send the WM2D program.

open bracketObelixclosed bracket
---- end ----

Dear Scott,
I think the explanation is here: it is not exactly a bug, in his message the quote section being alone (without any text in the corpus of the post), instead to show two buttons (reply with quote, edit this post) the software shows the 'quote' button only.
May be the solution is just to avoid any post with a not empty quote section, but in the same time with an empty text?
I apologize for the disconvenience.
