Hi Amaan !
Really, your post is useful...but depends on what side of the up here dilemma.
Your expression of this "phantom-like" PM device is on the line of your cultural heritage...this is our destiny:you like a long one ,we prefere a concise one.
One great use of words is to hide your....???
I appreciate your enthusiasm...this is the first step into the "PM labyrinth"..keep on going, but remind that sometimes "enthusiasm is nothing but moral inegriety " (Lord Byron ).
My friend, time is money and life is so short .
Anyway,I wish you a success path!
All the best ! / Alex

@iacob alex:
NoAm I the only one that seems to think some postings are by some sort of AI 'bot' ? or a translation page?
@iacob alex:
This statement is perhaps only partially true, if our aim is to achieve continuous motion. We require the devise to give back only that energy which was consumed either by dissipative forces, drawn off in the form useful work or both."For a rotary device to work it has to achieve a full 360* rotation, with acceleration between each complete turn"
I may be splitting hairs here but it occurs to me that if a devise "experiences acceleration between each complete turn" the devise will surely accelerate continuously until it explodes.Upon the cord being released, the machine began to rotate with great force and noise, maintaining its speed without increasing or decreasing it for some considerable time.'

Hi Unbalanced !
About your comment regarding "For a rotary device to work,it has to achieve a full 360* rotation..." :this is not mine.
It's better to redirect your knowledge to the primary source:
http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Gravity_Motors
Maybe this is useful ...

Hi,raj has made an interesting post/comment on,

Hi !
Let's take a short look at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQ02MjqBk7s
It's a simple test, that in my opinion, can help us to start the shortest way to achieve a workable (self-rotating...) gravity device .
If you watch the movie, you can note:
- (24-40sec) swinging motion of a constant rod pendulum
- (40-60 sec) rotation motion of a variable rod pendulum
- (1,06-1,16 sec) rotation of a variable counterweighted pendulum (one arm pulsatory lever).
In my opinion with a single small step ,we can have an elementary solution...
By the way:I understand that common sense is very uncommon, but here is a proposed topic ,not in the line of the oriental Bashkara wheels...
Sorry,I play the very old mechanics:Archmedes...or reality vs. fancy.
All the best! / Alex

Hi Alex!
Needless to say that the very concept of Perpetual Motion Machine originated in the Orient, in the mind of some deep thinking religious person, regardless of what his initial proposal concept was, i.e the baskara wheel.

Hi !
Ok ! So,we have now Bashkara vs. Archimedes.
So open your old books about vimanas & all kind of decorative wheels and play the game,as you can.
About the topic of this forum,I prefer Lucretius,Archimedes and pulsatory lever...if we talk mechanics.
I wish you success/bon chance!!!

Cher Monsieur Jacob,
I am not here to choose between one or the other.
Anyone who follow my threads on this forum will know towards which of the two my gravity wheel designs point. I have NEVER made any reference to using mercury in anywhere in my 100s posts.
But since I am so engrossed in PM machines designs, likes thousands of others around the globe, I cannot forget as to where this idea of Perpetual Motion Machie started.
' Give to Caesar what is Caesar's'.
This is my last comment on this thread.
Au revoir Monsieur,
Toujours a votre service,
Raj

Hi Raj !
Maybe you are too young and your vanity is "crescendo" out of control.
Sorry...
If you read the history of mechanics:the problem of lever dynamics ,is older than the assumptions of Archimedes
The technical "folklore" regarding this domain is even older (see shadoufs...).
The mercury is a minor problem..but the wheel concept itself.
If you really have something to express, try again in the most simple manner:the whole is simpler than the sum of its parts.
By the way,my bet is the same!

Dear jacob alex,
http://www.stirlingsouth.com/richard/Chariot.htm
Not so smart as the Vimanas, but nevertheless very clever:you wrote:If you read the history of mechanics:the problem of lever dynamics ,is older than the assumptions of Archimedes

I cannot imagine why nobody though on this before, including myself? It is so simple!...

re: Fancy vs. reality...
Cher P_F !
I perceive your talent and passion for mechanisms (see "Albums" up here) ,including this phantomatic search of Bessler's "secrecy".
Your old saying was : "why make simple,if you can make complex !?"
Maybe,it's a part of Bessler's ,secret (covert ,not done openly).
But how about : "why make complex,if you can make simple !?"
If true ,I think that this is the real "hidden" Bessler's form, shape.
The outside is a kind of "wheel"...but inside? This can be a short question regarding Bessler secrecy.
All the people plays this "outside".
Simply,I try to play the "inside" (see "MT!13 digest..." topic,on this forum).
For the moment I am interested for the know-how,only( the development of Archimedes Assumptions ).
To build ,seems to be not my ability,or skill...sorry.
What a form of humour : Old French Academy ban on paper of PM (the "nothing" is of three kinds...) vs. Aldo Costa's monumental achievement..I hope that a Frenchman will be the first to engage in building a workable PM...as an irony.
Laughter is the tonic, the relief ...
All the best !/ Alex

.....or a face-to-face fancy (with a "hidden" spare part) :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qiGy0kvTkY
with on open lesson of mechanics ,a simple game with reality:

re: Fancy vs. reality...
.....or usually ,a fancy must be tempered with reality.
But, if the "fancy" appears to be, a "reality" in the same time?
Take a look at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMXurB0O ... re=related
We have :
-a fulcrum
-a rotating lever, due to a moving mass on the arm.

Oh, dear Alex...
I was very worry about your behavior, Alex!
You expended almost 10 days without show up this device once again to BW...
What happen?
I bet as you are working on something and you want to connect your name to this design! Yes? 8)
Be sure, it is! This is the IACOB ALEX project! 8)
Take care!
