.....with a single driver(variable arm,to and fro motion of mass along the variable arm).

How can we play this childish game, transffered into a gravity powered device?

Remind that the rotational motion develops interesting inertial effects ,as in a "merry go round"(again a childish game),or in a Watt governor.

If we have the inspiration to find "the key",so "to unlock" the classical "PM folklore" (alternatingly long-short arm)...we can get self-motion due to gravity fall and inertia in-out storage.

.....this time with fire (candle flames),if you take a short look at :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-W2m2NpM3_g

Gravity is a kind of "fire",or "clean" energy ,ending as "heat" in the inner center of our planet.

The problem with "free" energy from gravity ,in my opinion ,must play seesaw with this "fire" ,also...

If you have the "nose of the mind"/instinct try to play it...

.....as a "copy game " of our Galaxy (perpetuum mobile) ,if you take a short look at :

http://earthsky.org/space/astronomers-f ... ky-way-arm

It's..."like a seesaw...".

If we imagine a "new kind of arm " for the well known seesaw ,can we hope to achieve self motion due to gravity fall and rotational inertia ?!

.....with two equal "masses" (partners),and two equal arms ,at:

A joyous game (swinging momentum),of gravity and inertia, with a lever:how we can jump up a "partner mass", easygoing and relaxed,in the same time.

....as you can imagine (including your design...),because it's the starting point of mechanics.

So,for the moment,make a pause,and relax at :

...can be it for you, a kind of "mind gymnastics"?

These extremely enjoyable kids can inherit a better future ,if we are smart enough to escape from the "Bhaskara cage" of this forum...and "release" gravity power .

Really...not extreme enough?

.....or something alike (fulcrum, bar/lever, two partners ) ,as :

www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7AN2IR8p9w

If one partner is "sleeping",the other must play a kind of continuous unbalance...let's say a to and fro translating "equivalence" at one end of the lever.

The "active partner" can play sequentially the centrifugal effect (switch on/off...),and can maintain the unbalance (torque difference) on the same side of the fulcrum.

As we play two "winds":gravity as a permanent one, centrifugation as a "disposing" one.

Without "actuating" for a half-turn the centrifugal effect ,we have no chance for "self" motion due to gravity fall and inertia.

Here...it's place for imagination and test.

.....this lever game , with two equal masses (neodymium magnets) , two equal arms , and a conductive (copper...) "C" shape tube ,on one side (only!) of the fulcrum/support.

Take a look at : www.youtube.com/watch?v=H31K9qcmeMU (0:20 / 0:26)

It's a new game:on one side we play gravity (only!) , on the other side we play ( gravity + "magnetic bay" )

If we introduce "the magnetic bay" and the variable arm for a common seesaw game we can "insert" an additional active (but "unseen"...) partner (centrifugal push) , side by side to gravity and Eddy current.

The result can be a huge diversity of designs...with equal/unequal masses and arms...playing gravity , inertia and magnetism.

Paradoxically , but it seems that we have ,and we can play a new kind of unbalance ?...a dynamically one (Lenz's Law asks for a continuous motion between the magnet and the conductive medium).

We can test lot of movements (swinging ,rotation...).

Now , finally: how about a self-rotation?

I found this very interesting Alex.,also your idea to Murilo, you bring a lot of interesting idea's to this Forum worthy of thought.....As an aside on this subject, when i was working on my "see-saw"to cushion at each side as it drops previous to using "soft compession"springs,i tried Neo magnets below each side of the see-saw and on the "ground"sides, thus each "repelling"(north-south)...for want of a better word there was an unpredictabilty, sort of violent and hard to control.....but i have to say this idea of copper conductive tubing and Neo magnets should seem appealing to a lot on here.......Good Luck......P.S....Off to drown my Shamrock to-night..

Hi Rasselasss!
It's St.Patrick and sham-rock's emblem of Ireland Day.

Congratulations and long live Irish people, with their fieriness of temper or passion , a very distinct colour for the US "melange".

About neodymium magnet inside a conductive medium (let's say a certain shape...tube...with "free" in-out):if we can handle the "floating point" inside this "magnetic bay" , in my opinion , there are some chances to simplify Murilo's avalanche drive .

Just a thought Alex...if the tubing was horizontal, with the Neo.magnet inside "floating"(not touching the tubing) i wonder would it be correct to assume the empty weight of the tubing would be the same as when the magnet is in place,....i suppose test and try would be the only solution..Good Luck......Too many Guinness at the weekend and can't get my head round anything today.

Hi Rasselasss!
All that we need is an electronic weighting machine ,a pulley,a string , a conductive tube , and two neodymium magnets.

So,we can make a lot of experiments and measurements .

.....and relax , this time , at : www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv4Sfwk7h2g

We and our objects, tools are not perpetual but some balanced-unbalanced masses in a gravity "pressure".

We are living inside a particular,unseen,accelerated "flow"/fall.

The perpetual motion phenomenon ,is a state of facts that can be perceived by our senses ...and maybe , turned into a...gravity motor.
