spinning

Post by winkle »

if you a space vehicle of some sort setting in space
placed a working gravity wheel on one of the side walls
gave it a spin
how would it affect the space vehicle
would it just sit there spinning or would it take some directional motion

Action/reaction so the layman supposes that any forces will be transmttited via whatever is attaching your PM wheel to the craft. The result in terms of movement/tilt (yeah, I know there is no up or down in space...) would depend on the balanced or OB nature of the wheel. And one supposes that in a OB wheel case where a recurring force occurs, you would get some sort of reaction.

BTW, I'm not interested in the gravity wheel, but how much do you want for the space craft ?
If you think you have an overunity device, think again, there is no such thing. You might just possibly have an unexpectedly efficient device. In which case you will be abducted by MIB and threatened by aliens.
