cease and desist

Post by justsomeone »

Is it possible and or legal to send someone a cease and desist letter to keep them off an internet forum? ( After being booted off said forum numerous times )

Another idea might be a 30 day waiting period, after signing up, before one could post. This could limit someone to 12 posts a year. ;)

Yes, has anybody else noticed the rise in sock puppets since Scott took away the IP address?

I agree. The situation is most irritating if only because one has no idea what the sock puppet has posted previously and therefore treats him as a newbie - which he isn't.

I think the idea suggested above of giving new sign-ups a 1 month delay period is a good one. Making something hard to get makes it more attractive too.
