A lesson of simplicity...
.....at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt3FtgDy5ZQ
As you can notice, nothing could be simpler...as usually, the whole is simpler than the sum of its parts:then, why make complex, when you can make(firstly...) simple?!

Hi Ruggerodk !
Maybe, you can think that I repeat like a parrot (or "bot" !),the same but subject ,but to shoot this "phantomatic PM" is a kind of imagistic hunting:big shots are only little shots who keep shooting...
In fact,I repeat as a parrot (or "bot",as some people of this forum call me ),that the starting concept of mechanics is the lever ("stick"),and that a possible solution for a gravity powered device is a lever concept, not a wheel one.
Why?
Because the gravity fall ("flow") is accelerated, and we can take advantage of the time factor,to store energy and play it,in a certain manner (continuous unbalance).

.....regarding the input/output ratio ,this time as an artistic expression,at :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVRgY88e ... re=related
So,relax and think about the author's comment...a simple arrangement (two-axis counterweighted spare parts),"carefully balanced,to respond to slight variation of wind currents(...input...) .
Why not,the same simplicity, for a gravity powered device?!

This is how, I understand...
A lever is a one cog wheel.
A seesaw is a two cogs wheel.
A crossbar is a four cogs wheel.
And all my wheels are multi levers connected on one pivot/fulcrum

.....when the science meets the art ,at :
http://www.zgallerie.com/p-2610-pendulum-clock.aspx
Here, the "fulcrum" is the time-keeper and the swinging motion is due to a slender, thin stick ("lever") , playing as a (counterweighted) pendulum.
In my opinion,a possible gravity powered "something" has the same simplicity,as a plain concept , without ornament or fancy.

Our mechanical clock ,maybe is just a tiny scintillation of the same cosmic design motion...or perpetual motion.

.....with a "hybrid"(mixed composition) gravity motor prototype ,at :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVT69Pde ... ure=relmfu
This arrangement is "hybrid":the unbalance is due to gravity, the variable arm(commutation) is due to an additional electromagnetic system.
A classic model ,requests a mechanical commutation,only...
The interesting point ("simplicity") :a single variable arm!

.....this time with a swinging physical (counterweighted) pendulum, playing as a time-keeper for a mechanical clock ,at :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7bBYJP-dDA
Conceptually,we can see it as a swinging stick...
As a general idea,we can change the swinging motion into a continuous rotation,,if the small/"bottom" mass moves to and fro on the long arm.
In this manner,a variable counterweighted pendulum ,can be considered a "primitive" image of a possible self-motion due to gravity fall and inertia?!

Hi Alex!
Many thanks for many video links as always. Well, we all are parrots here while we try to understand "HIS" great arts, and you are a great parrot, indeed!.

Alex, Absolutely true, Nature operates on the principle of simplicity, Natural movement is from simple to complex, from concrete to abstract. We are made in image of nature, therefore, naturally, if our course of invention is in harmony with the laws of Nature, first, we would obtain, most likely, the simplest design of the gravity wheel. In my opinion, a possible gravity powered "something" has the same simplicity,as a plain concept , without ornament or fancy.

True, ........Perpetual motion is God's Majestic art, a great revelation of HIM. We are inventors, the Gravity wheel is one of our ways to perceive HIM, HIS arts, and HIS laws of Nature.
Raj stated:
Be it Axis mundi or an axis of the gravity wheel, they highly correspond to each other in their basic geometry, sacred principles and in following the basic laws of nature. They have great parallels. Gravity wheel definitely follows the fundamental laws of nature, the principle of simplicity, the principle of economy and principle of symmetry and so on. If we apply them to gravity wheel, it is a matter of common sense that whole is greater than sum of its arts , it has simplicity as you have stated, so centrifugal wheel is a remote thing, but overlooking to the basic laws of nature, it is quite interesting to note that, people take delight in “complexity. And all my wheels are multi levers connected on one pivot/fulcrum.
Wiki states:
Best regards,“The axis mundi (also cosmic axis, world axis, world pillar, columna cerului, center of the world), in religion or mythology, is the world center and/or the connection between Heaven and Earth. As the celestial pole and geographic pole, it expresses a point of connection between sky and earth where the four compass directions meet.[citation needed] At this point travel and correspondence is made between higher and lower realms.[1] Communication from lower realms may ascend to higher ones and blessings from higher realms may descend to lower ones and be disseminated to all.[2] The spot functions as the omphalos (navel), the world's point of beginning.[3][4]
Sincerely yours,
P-M

You can see the natural model of an oscillatory lever(age) :
-the "ground"/frame support is the Sun
-the mobile fulcrum (turning around the Sun) is the Earth-Moon barycenter
-the lever plays two masses (Earth/Moon) with a fixed ratio 81/1 ,and has two "unseen" arms (one fixed,/inside the Earth, one variable/outside the Earth),with a variable ratio 1/76...87

re: A lesson of simplicity...
.....at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMY7zc6l ... re=related
It's a nice game in gravity(and inertia...),with a different kind of "see-saw" (fulcrum + lever , that "plays" a single end).
This can be,in my opinion ,a suggestive starting point to think about the main topic of this forum...and,about the possible Bessler's "inside box secrecy"?!
As a matter of fact,we can call it a gravity "wheel",too: a lever/two spokes (one variable).
So,maybe we can imagine easier the "self" motion, due to a continuous unbalance /"fall"...if you are "inspired"!

.....this time,something "homemade" ,at :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5qGsgj- ... ure=g-vrec
We have:
-a fulcrum/support
-a lever, with a variable arm, launching a small mass on a spiral trajectory, due to fall of a great mass .
So,this is a gravity powered device.
But how about a self-powered gravity device,as a "modified" trebuchet?
