This thread is not any more off-topic than other people's use of "off-topic" material in this part of the forum.

It is on-topic when it comes to the question of people continually popping up and interrupting a thread. It's bad enough to get interrupted, but when you 'hear a voice' coming from the ceiling tiles and it interrupts things, that starts to get annoying!

Yes, people have the option to choose to be hidden, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a bit anti-social. At least in the case of people who are hidden and jump in out of nowhere and interrupt a topic.

my motivations were to not facilitate someone sitting there and jumping me when they see me
i've seen it happen
and he's already going from thread to thread doing it
now he's STARTING them?
and i've seen more than one forum have to finally just shut down because people start posting threads about other people merely to get a dig in at them
that's what scrambles everything the most egregiously
it just begs someone else to post another one to answer it
and on and on
