Starting a new build based on the AP Wheel.

Post by axel »

If it doesn't work, I'll tell some about it, but for now I can't say too much or it might give it away.

I would like to post a picture in the thread from my iPhone. It is of the levers, etc.
Can this be done from the iPhone?

I have a basic smart phone and can. Scott limits
file size to 100 kb's. Anything larger and it won't load.
If your phone is anything like mine, when you "click" on
add an attachment, and then select browse, it should open your picture
folder on your phone automatically.

Hi axel. I do not have an iPhone but from my phone this is how it works. Click on the add an attachment button under the box to write your post. Then scroll down and click on the choose file button. When I do this the Gallery is one of the options that pop up. Click the gallery button and that will take you to your pictures to select one. Hope this helps.

Here are the levers. The large nuts can be screwed up and down at the end to balance it.
Ok, I used the web resized. Pretty easy.

This shows how the weights/nuts can be screwed down the square end of the levers to get them just right.
Hey, posting pictures is pretty easy using that webresizer site.

axel,
I'm curious, are you going to use an off set axle to try and maintain your imbalance ?

Will be getting back to building, this weekend. Got one side of the wheel assembled and going this past Sunday. Just that system alone really makes a lot of noise.
Next step is the other system on the other side of the wheel which I believe will be a prime mover. Weights travel in slots there.

I have completed the MT137 based side of the wheel. Turns easily.
Now to build the AP wheel based opposite side.
My belief is that the AP wheel is the prime mover and shows the bare minimum required for it to work.

I should have mentioned that both sides will communicate with each other.
