Hi rasselasss ,

I can now say that I have solved a part of your riddle , that is the part of the riddle containing the hole .

Yeah ,

My wheels have so many holes in them that sometimes I imagine I can hear them whistling when I spin them !

In one particular build , I had half a dozen chords tensioned by springs with small levered weights adding a twang as the wheel revolved which sounded great but it didn't go fast enough to bring in the whistle section .

Maybe that's how Bessler got into building carillons - Would have given him a welcome break from organs ! : )

How difficult can it be?

Dave Roberts sent me the below attached video.

For me it shows how we learn and think, also why we sometimes cannot see the forest for the trees! We learn and then become stuck in the ruts, loosing all comprehension of what could be if we only take the patience to hang in there and learn other than what we have been taught to accept.

Dave asks; does this relate as to why we adults have not solved Bessler's puzzle?

Thank you Dave and Ralph.

That video of the backwards bike was funny. It does show the singular mind set very well. To try and ride that bike I would just think boat for the boat motor in the back of the boat is opposite steering.
