the Logo

Post by wheelrite »

Re: the 'and still you do not understand' logo, black with 3 white triangular sections. I have been looking at his and I note the tips of the 3 white segments seem to pierce through the outer of the 2 concentric circles of the axel, lets assume these tips are riding on the inner circle and that its not round, its a cam shape, now assume the three white segments are the 'weight(s)' and are sprung loaded inward to keep the tips on the cam and that the spring rating is just a little higher than the weight. Image the top white/weight segment just past 12 o'clock going clockwise, its been lifted by the cam up and away from the centre a small distance, its causing torque clockwise, as it rotates somewere around 5 o'clock the centre cam profile reduces and the weight is driven inward/upward by its springing. All three are doing the same, will this give continuous rotation? Speed limited by cf holding the weights outward off the cam? I see the white segments not as the actual shape/design of the weights but representative of them and their effect. As we know they were cylinders and paired up, maybe used as contact rollers on the central cam/axel? (gives very low frictional losses). Any thoughts or input very welcome.

Hello Wheelrite!

See my thread: ' Why didn't I think of this before?'

Is there any similarity with your idea/concept?

Still thinking how best to keep the cam stationary, maybe weighted 'collar' on the axle, really I'm not sure....

Raj, I dont think so if you read my description.

you could have a axel for your wheel supported by two supports with the long part of the axel and two supports behind the wheel .

the cam you can support on a seperate support and push the cam into the wheel centre .

I was thinking today that the logo as you say is actually 3 actions 3 reactions that over lap each other and allow motion to occur swinging spinning and hammering imho.
Only by making mistakes can you truly learn

Hi wheelrite ,

If the springing is pulling the weight up at 6 , then at 12 the cam must not only pick up the mass of the weight , but it has to overcome the spring pulling the weight into the axel , same as at 6 .
