Beware/Text contains God word!
I've banged on before about how this quest is not so much an engineering matter, much more a spiritual one. Spiritual is apparently too close to God for you's to rationally consider....whereas I see most everything concerning Bessler as apparently too close to God for me to ignore.
I see no problem in considering that Bessler imagined upon the workings of this realm, God, in search of an answer...that's science isn't it? I see no problem accepting that he delved into the spiritual/esoteric..this is known. I see no reason to ignore the possibility that he applied his science to the spiritual/esoteric, to eventual success.
That quote under Bessler's wheel engraving... the Math : 15/16 thingy. That it surely is a taunt referring to the engraving above, that must itself therefore hold something to understand, I've harped on about before, to no avail.....but I thought I'd check out Math :15/16 to see the quote in context. I ended up at a site concentrating purely on the quote itself, offering many, many, interpretations from this or that somebody, over the equally many years.
The first one I read was this........“And you? My disciples, who have heard from my own lips of the spiritual nature of my works, will ye, like the Pharisees, insist still to remain as backward scholars?
Put like this, then that's another taunt entirely....composed knowingly & beautifully to exactly address most everyone ever likely to gaze upon it, including most all of you's, attempting to make the impossible, possible...by means of what you think you know....when what you know, knows perfectly well that it is impossible.
"Yes!" will doubtless remain your reply....until such time as you fully accept that the breadth of your knowledge is entirely irrelevant to this quest, breadth of imagination being the spiritual key.

He may have been referring to the bible written in 1516. When I get some time I am going to see if his 140 bible quote fit into that bible.

I believe that the Lutheran Church was predominate in Germany at that time so you need to find there version of that time to use.

re: Beware/Text contains God word!
Bessler expressed the thought that anyone attempting to solve the mystery of the wheel by pure engineering abilities would fail and that they needed God's guidance for success. I've considered building various models and have pondered over various designs for months. It seems like before I'm ready to build I see there's a feature missing from Bessler's description or I find a design flaw. I've prayed that God would reveal the answer to me or anyone else who would open source the solution for the benefit of humanity.
From the clues that Bessler provided, I've (currently) come to the conclusion that the "upper weights" need to be maintained in a position above and on either side of the axis, thereby coinciding with his clues of "bright as a peacock's tail," "craftmanship rising above lowly tendencies," "one side of the wheel is full while the other side is empty" and the "preponderance of wieght." The wieghts would need to be held in place while on the top side of the wheel and released at the appropriate position on the downward side of the wheel to swing as a pendulum in the direction of the wheel's rotation towards the upward side of the wheel, "gaining force as they swing" from a spring mounted on the rim of the wheel. This coincides with Bessler's clue of springs being used and also with witness testimony. There would be latches on the rim of the wheel to catch the weights as they reach the end of their swing on the upside "rewarding them with a pat on the paws by the stiff fops who watch them." The latches would hold them in place until they're released again on the down side. I know this is a simple design but Bessler said the design was so simple no one would think it was worth his asking price.
I would appreciate hearing if anyone has thought of or tried a similar configuration before.

Hi Daan- My design isn't similar to Lindemann's design posted on You Tube but I appreciate your suggestion to observe his concept. I'll post a drawing after I do some experiments to verify if it will work as anticipated.

I think some energy storage type device is needed to get the necessary phase difference between oscillations. See my Ersatz Gravity Motor thread on Community Buzz.
Keep up the prayers. I always read a chapter of the Maker's Manual everyday. Today's was Acts Chapter 15 (Douay version). After all, He must know how it works, eh!.
As for Bessler, as a member of a secret society which worships the devil he's more likely to want to conceal the answer and lead people astray. The fact that he died without revealing the secret speaks for itself.

Hello Grimer,
in my opinion Bessler was a deeply religious Christian. He clearly says in AP part 1 page 95 chapter XLVIII and page 96 chapter XLIX that God
revealed / gave him the secret for the Mobile and not the devil or any other fraudulent spirit.
If we have an inventor of a perpetual motion machine and an inventor for a weapon of mass destruction it looks (to me) quite obvious which
one is inspired by God and which one by the devil.
With best regards,

If Bessler was inspired by God, rather than the father of lies posing as an angel of light why didn't he reveal his secret. It's development might have saved the world from a lot of terrible wars fought over natural resources.Nobody wrote:Hello Grimer,

Actions, or in Bessler's case lack of action, speak louder than words.
But I agree with you as far as Hitler is concerned. His weapons of mass destruction such as the V1 and V2 which terrorized me as a child were certainly inspired by the devil. Thank God he didn't get the atom bomb before we did.

Wars are not always fought over resources like oil. Some wars a just over BS so the control freaks of the world can have more control. Thus religious wars like the claim of isis is raging for control and hatred of others beliefs. Greed is also an evil all its own.

Bessler didn't get the chance he was planning for. He would have revealed the secret, but he either slipped and fell by accident, or had some medical emergency that caused the fall.
Or he could have been murdered.
Or he could have been murdered.
re: Beware/Text contains God word!
With respect, the comments thus far appear to confirm the yes suggested in my original post. Your conversations now centre around purely man imagined entities...a God, a Devil.....thus you are discussing religion & I'd be the very first to assert that religion belongs off-topic.
Religion concerns an unknown/unseen entity....Spiritual concerns this unknown/seen entity...this realm. As a quest then it sits far closer to a science lab than to any church.
Bessler, in scientifically investigating the spiritual, has discovered something about the workings of this ream....he has penetrated the veil that exists between what we think we know of its workings & what is the actual, or closer, truth of its workings.....& having been so `enlightened` then he has become truly aware of a whole new spiritual reality, a whole new truth, for mankind to scientifically study. Thus his desire for his fortress, where spirituality & science correctly unite as one....
He found a motion that not only better defines this creation, a motion that is, in itself, the base/cause of this creation...is/of the creator....God.
And he found it by applying his imagination/intellect to Ancient spiritual wisdom...in the hope/belief that it spoke of this spiritual God, once known, now lost.....and he was correct.
He started out no differently than you, I & just about every soul that's ever delved into PM....but he ended up on a quest, the mother of all quests, for the Holy Grail.
And he completed that quest, a quest that involved his very being, in every sense, not a physics book & a box of tools.

re: Beware/Text contains God word!
I'm attempting here to suggest that there exists a true, tangible, expression for God, as opposed to the expression for God, man made/imagined....to suggest that Bessler found that expression.
Like whoever the fella was, who dared to question all that appeared as fact, all that he'd ever been taught to understand, that the Earth was flat....who dared to imagine that all the pieces of the puzzle just might build an entirely different picture.
Tis only with an open, rather than one track, mind that valid questions start to appear. Like Sacred Geometry for instance......kinda just a name for it one supposes....but look at it logically & think...... really?
Folk, back in the day, were so into maths/number that it warranted the term Sacred? That's taking the love of a subject a step too far don't you think? The term Sacred Geometry implies, most strongly, that science/physics were here being applied to the Spiritual...to God.
My logic can ascertain no better place to look, especially as Bessler himself clearly looked....and clearly found.
You bicker & bemoan the fella for not leaving any useful clues, having wasted endless effort looking for them in the most spurious of places.....yet in truth he makes it only too clear, in most everything he states, in most every way he behaves, that the solution is bound by the spiritual.
He's positively yelling, beside an open gate & demands that you walk the path beyond it.....but you see only gobbledy gook...'cos that's far easier...easier to tread the path that you know damn well can only ever lead to the same old proof, that you know as equally damn well.....it's impossible, always & forever impossible, via that route.
