This topic is for you to contribute to the concept.
That has been put forward in other topics.

I would like to start a paired topic 'M. Turbine' that will be a mini-blog.

1. After the top white sector going CW is the OB drop phase.

2. After the second is the stress storage phase.

3. After the third is the do nothing phase until the released
at the top within the white sector.

CW = Clock wise
PE = Potential Energy
KE = Kinetic Energy
AR = Acceleration Due To Rotation
AG = Acceleration Due To Gravity
ACW = AntiClockwise


The image is showing the phases of the wheel.

1. After the top white sector[1] going CW.

At white sector[2] transition. PE of the weights has been converted to KE.
The AR is stopped and the momentum is bounced back.
To move the weights into an inner position.

2. After the second is the stress storage phase.

The white sector[3] transition. The combined AR and AG causes stress
and that is locked in this sector.

3. The top within the white sector[1].

The stress is unlocked causing the Item A MT51 to rotate ACW.
Note the frame is rotating CW. This increases the AR.

Due to the AR being greater than AG the weight moves to it's starting
position.

We have Wind Turbines, Gas Turbines, Jet Turbines & Water Turbines.

So in the future we will have Turbines using another energy source.

In the case M. Turbine the reason in the last question I will answer.

The first the partial illustration is an eight sectioned CW rotating turbine
with weights at the end. There are ACW rotating joins MT51 Item A.

Note.

The bottom right weight is being knock into the inner position.
The top left will be spring fired to the outer position.

There are extra components list two side pendulumi to counter the spring firing ACW effect. Also to control rotation speed.

The block needs to be an internal pendulum.
It is here for first stage illustration purposes.

This ratchet pendulum has the weight at the bottom and the affixing join at the top.

The axial the goes through the join needs to be spring loaded on rotation and have a latch trigger.

Hi agor95! It' s neat idea; maybe a bit of a curved track at the 5 O'clock position, maybe a roller on the weight that would push the weight in with less resistance to rotation???? Any resistance at the rim is the worse place to have it------------ The biggest problem might be at the 11 O'clock position. I worked extensively with MT-13 and that was a killer, trying to get from the 11 to 12 position. If I understand it's operation. Sam Peppiatt

argor95,

I expected to see a turbine, but your rotary engine is not of that type. So you probably wont get much of a response from others. Hope I'm wrong and good luck.

W. Turbine as is wind.

It rotates has arms and supplies electricity.

That is our direction. Keep reading and lets see were this adventure goes.

The parameters of the devise I am using in the formulas are as follows:-

To show due respect to bessler the weights are 4lb (1.81kg).
To show respect to this forum and members the diameter is 12ft (3.567 m approx.) [Third Wheel - Merseburg]
To show respect to newton gravity is 32 feet per second squared (9.8 m/s squared) approx.

I have marked the 4lb weight [green] and counter clockwise ratchet [blue].

This is were a real physical build can show the actual keeling behavior.

The point is the device has positive clockwise torque.

This is hard to explain. However here goes.

The weight is the lightest at the top 11 to 12 position.
To see that you need to view the Turbine from another angle.

The last image shows you looking at the device upsidedown.

The Blue arrows shows you the direction of the force of gravity at three stages. 1 - the position shown on previous images, 2 - when in line with rachet arm [Item A] & 3 - when the 12 position is reached.

Acceleration due to Rotation [AR] is stronger than Gravity [AG].
However it makes the work required to move the weight more easy, as it aligns with the AG arrow, in the opposite direction.

After the weight is fired [twang goes the bow string], using the stored stress, it will move counter clockwise [CCW] and fall into the progressively stronger AR force.

That would make a sound of a light hammer, if it hit anything like a cover to the turbine.

So this is how you make a weight fall upwards.

Note. There is a transient back torque; however the is a permanent clockwise positive torque is the system.

Give yourself time to understand the above.

The other perspective of the Turbine being the right way up is the weight will be fired on a parabolic path. Also it will pull slightly as the frame rotates.

Here is an idea I used to play around with back in the 90's. When one weight is in the "down" position, it does not rotate with the disc. This allows the 2 levers that are elevated to have force. The disc will tilt in the direction of the lever with more force.
It tends to be complicated. And the link is to a working SMOT device. I think since he uses magnets, it is not considered perpetual motion. And with my "simple" design, magnets might allow it to work more easily or even just work.
The trick would be as the video shows, the magnet attracts as a steel weight and then the magnets position changes so it no longer is attracted to the steel weight.

If you look at the 3:00 minute mark, the magnet is starting to drop as the steel bearing approaches it. With a disc like mine, the weighted lever would drop instead of the magnet. And this would cause the disc to rotate.

What you are trying is not unlike a ground walker attempt I did a while back. The problem is that each time you hit the post it changes the wheels center of gravity just for an instant with negative effect.
