captures were made with Microsoft encoders(thanks to forum people advice and ofcourse microsoft team for free use.. :)) but initialy extension name was different. I've changed to wmv and I was able to play with media player and KMP. unfortunate, I cannot see how come uploaded, my present satelite conections does not allow me.

Thanks.

Yes, the codec seems to be a Microsoft Expression screen capture codec - MTS2.

I don't have that one and I've not been able to find it. A newer version of my video player might be able to play your videos (I use Linux by the way), but I don't really want to go to the bother .

I was able, however, to use an online conversion tool to convert one of your videos to a format I could play. I hope you don't mind I did that. I deleted the file from their server immediately after conversion.

Maybe that could be helpful for others too.

I thought that was all ,here are some new:
air resistance reduced to medium .
video capture was secvential to catch most of the events and keep video short.
in the first capture -4 mb aparently is not uploading, I'll try later, at simulator frame 4950(left bottom corner) expected to come to a stop but then , Phoenix came back to life...

the final breath-it did not stopped actualy but my pc said is enough..shows that as long as pendulum have oscilation-regardless how small , flywheel (the system actually) is trying -not really succesfuly- to find equilibrum state.
I think is something to learn from it.

File size limitation for the forum:
http://www.besslerwheel.com/forum/attach_rules.php?f=1

In general, 3 mb max.

PS. Alternate is to upload to a YouTube account then post a link.

thanks Jim,
that will be an idea to do it , for now I'm limited with internet usage.. may be later on.

Anyway, remake the capture in 7 small parts, hope I can get them through slowly today with some of my thoughts.

part 1, starting up and initial chaotic movements.
the two pendulums are released from certain weight.

unless body building is planned, this 2 weights not realy needed to be raised so high, as later seen on captures.

part 3 .
no, no stopping. here Phoenix come back to life.

toggle between graphic and numerical data.
kids start to play toghether, speed pretty much stable, in one direction.
pendulum oscillations still big

part 4
still running one direction. some fluctuations on graphic , pendulums coming out from sincronised movements.
kids not playing toghether nicely.

now can be seen why body building is optional, pendulums were sincronised on slow oscillations, about 30 degree from vertical line.

part 5

pendullums oscilations amplitude decreasing, flywheel still rotating, a bit slower.

part 6.
still running, system's energy is less and less as pendullums oscilations decrease.
at the end, does not rotate, ramdom movements started.

part 7. and final.
search for equilibrium state. unfortunate that is were simulation stopped as internal limit reached( not sure what in simulator program means).
if equilibrium state is reached, in what position, how easy will be to destabilize, etc, can be done only in practice, not with cardboard replica...

Anyway, some learning could be.

Now, I've seen that is a poll on debate....quite important one thought...

So what is your next move mbix, are you going to build it or try something else?

hi daxwc,
I'm also one of the many that are convinced 99.99% that there is not such a thing possible. But the results of the sim incline in the favour of remaining 0.01% doubts , so yes , I won't be stopping at cardboard paper replica. in 10 days I'll be back home, a good project for summer.
