Greenhouse gases 'do warm oceans'

Post by Oxygon »

Concern is growing...
"Scientists say they have "compelling" evidence that ocean warming over the past 40 years can be linked to the industrial release of carbon dioxide."
"This model reproduced the observed temperature changes in the oceans with a statistical confidence of 95%, conclusive proof - say the researchers - that global warming is being caused by human activities."
"This is perhaps the most compelling evidence yet that global warming is happening right now and it shows that we can successfully simulate its past and likely future evolution"

Yet they neglect to mention the contributing impact of fish methane emissions towards global warming....
These 'scientists' are just trying to keep collecting study grants by misdirecting people, while the real culprits are getting away with it.
Hmmm, sounds like a global conspiracy to me.... ;)

I agree with Mr Tim. It is politically expedient at the present time that scientists be "concerned" what with the Kyoto treaty and all that. I think there is a move to put public pressure on the politicians to adopt it. I do believe that man has done tremendous damage to the ecosysytem and we tend to meddle in things that we have no idea what the consequences will be.

It is interesting that "industrial " release of carbon dioxide is being tagged as the culprit. Don't other types of carbon dioxide emissions such as, automobiles, trucks, airplanes, home heating, deforestation by burning, cause problems too?
