My latest thoughts about gravity motors
Overbalance.
Springs.
Bi-directional motion.
Small weights adding up to larger ones.
Rotational energy.
Complex designs animated in a CAD system that would never work in the real world...but are neat to look at.
I have seen so many here it makes my eyes hurt. And they all have one thing in common; they don't work. I believe I know why but I'm not revealing it just yet.
But I have been addressed here before. And it is time to prove whether I know what I am talking about or not.
My approach had been to find someone who can build it from metal. That is hard to do. And I have no real metalworking skills.
But I had a conversation with suncitydave and while he doesn't like my attitude, he did give me a good idea. Build it with hobby materials.
After all, if the concept is solid, it should work with any structure, right? Even styrofoam, balsa wood, and lead weights must do.
So that's it. After sitting on it for months, I went out and bought the materials for the "base" and "rotational enclosure." I started working on them today.
It's my turn to try to build a gravity motor. I'll let you know how it goes.

Great. More the merrier. Discover the enjoyment process of the build. And good luck.

I like your reversed logic question.
It makes the majority to have a positive position and allows member to say 'No'.
After all that is an automatic twitch in our collective figures.
Let us know how you get on with your build.
Any knowledge, good or bad, is better than none.
Cheers

Hi TGM,
Good luck with your build. If I can assist you with making some parts, without you disclosing your plans, let me know. I also live in the sunshine state.

It's not about the destination.
It's about the Journey.
Failure is success if you learn from it (as long as you don't get your finger stuck in the garbage disposal).

It means the person who tried to type LSD is dyslexic or they took too much advise from Mormons.barksalot wrote:Help me I am slow, what does LDS mean.

As soon as the clip started playing I connected the dots :)

Polls are pointless. A working wheel is not. Learning from a failed attempt is a step in the right direction.
