If I remember correctly, doing a Google search for "free energy" used to give many results for alternative energy/fringe (or pseudo) science sort of websites. Well, this morning I decided I hadn't visited many sites like that (other than this one) in a while and wanted to know if there was anything new, so I did the search again. None of the Google results, however,... ...well, other than the paid ads, of course... ...were of an "alternative energy" variety. Neither were any of the related search terms. The links were all to websites containing strictly mainstream science uses of the term and the related search terms were also all strictly mainstream.
Unless my memory is failing me or alternative energy websites have significantly decreased in popularity compared to mainstream science sites, it seems that Google may now be manipulating their search results so as to not have any fringe stuff near the top of the list. ...except for the sites who pay them for the privilege, of course!
...ugh....
I've about had it with Google. It used to be so easy to find things with them. Now, it sometimes takes a real effort to bypass the stuff they think you should be seeing to get to the stuff you're actually looking for.
Anyway, in trying to remember some of the sites I used to visit, I discovered that keelynet.com was down and after doing some investigation I also found out that the owner of the site - Jerry Decker - died a little over 3 years ago. He was found dead in his home and was believed to have died of natural causes.
He and his website have been mentioned in this forum before, but I'm not sure if news of his passing had been posted.
Here's the obituary published in Infinite Energy magazine:

Tried an alternative search engine?
For example: www.DuckDuckGo.com

re: Google, free energy, keelynet and Jerry Decker (RIP)
I just tried my "free energy" search on DuckDuckGo and got a mix of results similar to what I had remembered getting with Google in the psat. I may have to switch over for some things, then, when I'm not actually looking for established science or what happens to be in the news and/or is trending, I guess.
I've used alternate search engines sporadically, but part of me doesn't want to give up on Google since they used to give such decent results. Now that they taylor their search results to geographical location and past search history and whatnot, however, I really don't think they should have my continued loyalty.
...just ranting a little...
Thanks.
Dwayne

A few years ago I saw a Google slogan that said "Google is your Friend " .
I don't know if they still use it now or not but a number of occurrences involving Google recently has made me think that they should update the slogan to
"Google is working on becoming your 'Big Brother' '"
I think Orwells 1984 is being used as a training manual at Google !
The occurrences I've had that I don't like : -
(1) They have tried a few times recently to wrest control of my computer away from Microsoft , but thankfully me and Microsoft won ! : )
(2) On my phone ( an Android ) they are preventing me from using non Google store Apps .
Up until I just discovered that Google owns Android I was at a loss to know why this was !
(3) Emails from my non Google owned provider over the past few months are not being accepted to Google Email accounts (without notification that they havn't been delivered ) .
When I communicated with my provider about the problem they said they had tried a few times to rectify the problem and were being told that everything now is ok , -- But it is NOT !.
(4) Censoring links to You Tube -- see thread "Thunderstruck" .
This was when I found out (to my amazement ) how they were becoming my "friend" by taking monopoly control of the internet .
I did not know Google owned You Tube . That explains a lot .
Two interesting videos from You Tube , ( and not censored yet so they must be right ! : ) ) :--

In whatever form it's presented, everything considered evil always thrives on a lot of in-your-face attention while it's advertised as fundamental basics you shouldn't even notice...
So you could say the same about Facebook.
They declared to "value" you privacy, and they indeed do.
They declared not to link Whatsapp when they took over.
https://www.gadgetsnow.com/how-to/how-t ... 766022.cms
They promised to never need a Facebook account when they took over Oculus (virtual reality stuff).
https://www.oculus.com/blog/a-single-wa ... noscript=1
There's Facebooks's Cambridge-analytics data harvesting.
https://www.wired.com/story/did-cambrid ... book-data/
There's Facebooks "rescuing" people in the outlands and give them "free" community internet out the "goodness" of their hearts...
Did I mention Facebook money...?
https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/3/21163 ... llet-delay
I never had a FB-account, Whatsapp nor an Oculus...
Yet via tracking-pixels "like"-buttons on websites I likely have a profile I can't disable.
People are "required" to upload their phone's contact list, which makes it "easy" to link people all over.
They likely have my picture too because people take pictures that get uploaded without consent and face recognition is a "cool" feature.
More and more companies, news-outlets and governments are having a "social"-media-only "service" or "exclusive"-information only to be found there.
Many people understand the outrage... and still keep using all that FB stuff because they're addicted for each their rationalized reason.
It becomes harder and harder to resist that "experience" and to keep your own potential at your own higher standard.
There are spiders around the web. We are just the juicy (butter-)flies.
We can easily extrapolate from this that in the future there will be no more we-the-people-governments trying to be as transparent as manageable (sure sometimes questionable).
Instead we will be "managed" by private companies with obscure rules that bubbles you up in packages and process you like any other third-rate product drifting on the lower spectrum of the pyramid.
The first line you'll hear that informs you that it's seemingly too late and expensive to quit and go back: "How can we otherwise afford it?" (We did just fine before)
...just ranting a little...
