When I was shown this I thought it was cool.
1. Place the two numbers you want to multiply at the top of two columns.
2. Divide the first number and place it down in it's column row. Ho drop the fractions.
3. Repeat until you get to 1 in the last row.
4. Double the second number and place it down it's column.
5. Repeat until you complete the row which has a value in the first column.
6. Copy the values in the second column where the first column row is ODD.
7. Place the copy in the third column.
8. Add up the third column.
