Just a thought

If a person were to have copies of semi-translucent images then one could overlay copies of the 'AP Wheel'.
You could rotate and even flip them over.

That would assist in looking for any patterns in the dots.

Of cause we all know Bessler invented stereograms.

P.S. Why is Bessler a spelling mistake on the BesslerWheel forum?

Some photo editing programs (e.g. PhotoImpression 4) allow you to adjust the 'transparency' of layers added to an image (in addition to flipping & rotating them)So, shouldn't be a problem... ;-)

I tried that a few years ago but printed on transparent film. Interesting as you could turn them over and upside down etc. nothing of import revealed itself to me but it’s easy to do and worth trying. I was inspired to try it because I knew a camera obscura had been listed in Bessler’s after death inventory. This throws a reverse image onto a flat surface in a darkened room, if Bessler drew his designs on paper and threw the image onto a wood block it would give him a guide for his reversed image for printing an image as he initially drew it.
