MT 47

The MT 47 answers, in my opinion, all the questions I have been asking myself since I became interested in the Bessler subject.
To make it short because the MT47 I can talk about it for hours :)
I will start with the base, we are not very far from a clock but much simpler.
(although the realization for an amateur remains serious in difficulty)
We have a constant load, a wheel whose weight is distributed from 12h to 6h, which gives us a huge torque.
Then we have what I've been looking for for a while, I realized by chance it's an exhaust and not just any exhaust, it's not the first time I talk about exhaust and this one for me is a real find.
It doesn't maintain a balance, it manages the left/right rocking of the incoming balls, before propelling them to the top of the system to buckle.
You notice that this model uses the toys that B. proposes to study.
I've been doing a lot of little things lately that I'm finally finishing.
Next week I will start the Shadow model that I promised to study.
Then I'll build the MT47 that suits me completely, at worst it will remain a beautiful object. :)

Not everything I present is functional, but a surprise can't be completely ruled out.Greetings.
Re: MT 47
In the sketch of B the MT 47 is as wide as it is long, so it fits in a cube according to its representation.
To reduce the volume, it needs to make a 1/4 turn to one of the elements following either the wheel or the escapement. Now the number 47 is represented in mirror effect, I have no solid explanation...

Re: MT 47
@cheors, :)
A++
@cheors,
With one detail, the marble rises much faster than any MT! I won't say for free, but,
a thirty balls raises ONE...
The fact that things happen at different speeds is pretty good for me.
In any case, the exhaust will probably have to be arranged, holding so much weight in sync is not going to be as easy as the present B, but why not...
In principle we should observe a phase shift (a duration for the moment inestimable).

Re: MT 47
A ++
The least we can say is that the original model is not very clear. lol
As represented the model is dead end it is normal, the connection B on C is not possible, the big wheel would have to make 1/2 turn to raise a Ball and lose half of it. lol I always said that B was player.
To make the escapement work, it is necessary that when the large wheel advances of a ball, it faces to turn by gear (not represented) another small wheel which it makes 1/2 turn connected in B on C and there we have an escapement.

Re: MT 47
The B-C connection looks plausible to me. With each stroke he lifts a number of balls. There is a constriction at the top, allowing only one ball to enter the wheel at each step. Also notice the rope and pulleys to reduce friction on the storks bill mechanism.
By exhaust, I take it you mean the balls will slowly be exhausted, because more balls will be falling than lifted?

Re: MT 47
A++
In the current state of the sketch the connection is possible, but one raises less marbles than it falls lol
It makes see the wheel with the marbles as a spring of alarm clock which diffuses the energy in small doses.
So we should lift a ball easily, I'm working on the project and it will become clearer.
I will receive my balls next week.

This escapement model sent by a friend solves the main problem, one ball goes up pushed by the wheel, and only one ball goes down.
It can be a bit long to realize but a real challenge that should show us a lot.

The problem is to get started, it's done. :)
I don't remember who was talking about oscillators. Ah yes my friend Georges lol.
The MT 47 is an oscillator nothing else, coupled with an MT 13 or other will do the trick.

Re: MT 47

It took me a while to admit that an unbalanced wheel will never work... I stopped looking in that direction which is a dead end.
So did B lie or trick us, I don't think so.
When we say that we do what, we go back to basics...
If it's not the unbalance what is it?
Several Tracks brought me to MT47, the subdivision of the main weight, the total mass allows to bring up a very small part of this weight and to maintain it a certain time, very very long this time lol.... There is no other way lol.
there are several analogies as for example the fountain of Heron "https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontaine_de_H%C3%A9ron" which is a completely closed system it is its problem.
It would be enough to couple this weight with an ingenious escapement to glimpse the solution, what B showed us with the MT47, which is not easy to apprehend.
I'm so convinced that this system works that I'm stalling to seriously implement it in front of the lack of enthusiasm of my dear colleagues.
I have presented you different models of exhaust, which coupled with the stork's beak will bring up a fragment of weight very easily, this remains to be demonstrated and it will be over for the obvious.
https://youtu.be/Zkz01vcHhYI
You can see on this example that it will be enough to choose the desired direction of rotation
to make the wheel go in any direction without any problem.
I set myself a time limit (the end of this year) to force myself to design the whole thing.

Re: MT 47
Thanks Fletcher for your encouragement. :)
I've been struggling for a while on the design of this part, the idea is that a ball can fall nicely around 12 o'clock and then go out around 6 o'clock without any fault on the motor wheel. There are 16 slots on this model, so we will have 7/8 motor balls, to lift one (in theory lol).
Printing of 17 parts, 44 hours of printing...

Re: MT 47
How much faster will they have to lift the one?
. I can assure the reader that there is something special behind the stork's bills.
Re: MT 47
@justsomeone
B shows us in MT 47 that there are balls in stock at the bottom as well as the top waiting for action, so speed for now is not very important, we already have to prove that everything is going to happen as planned, lol.
Then the speed will become important of course, but at the weight as it is I'd say we're going to fall behind a bit, we'll see.
