You can already see the problem with the newer drawing. Look at the mass position of the bottom weight and what torque it is providing. Now do the same with the left weight.

Yeah the bottom mass torque is an OB killer. If it can stand straight up, OB may established.

Both pictures are still vulnerable to kneeled though. It is not 360 starting.

I think I know how Bessler do a 360 starting.

The OB must guarantee a weight shift and a weight shift must guarantee an OB.

If OB and weight shift happens at the same time, stop one is stop the other and the whole wheel stopped.

So OB and weight shift must lag one another’s.

Silly me

Weight shift is OB and OB is weight shift. They are inseparable.

The only possibility left is OB must guaranteed OB.

This means less energy must be used to create OB or lift weight. Hm… we can do that.

Suppose we have a configuration as shown.

The wheel is rotating clockwise at some velocity.

The right mass is shot straight down to point A and get absorbed into point A. How does this change the speed of the wheel?

Nothing. When the right mass departs, the left side is heavier and the wheel starts to slow down. When the right mass hit and absorbed at A, the momentum is given back to the wheel and it speed up to the same velocity as original.

Wait the minute, what if it rebound? The instant it rebound from A, the wheel speed up to twice the value of its slow down due to rebound momentum. As the right mass travel back up to the top, the left side is heavier and the wheel slow down to its original speed.

Wait, twice the speed value the instant of rebound? Isn’t that 4 times the energy? Heck yeah.

Since a mechanical mechanism is hard to do, why not use electrical?

Here we use an electromagnet to compress the spring at 6’clock and released the spring at 3 o’clock.

Nothing special about electrical energy in/out, but each release we received a recoil torque which is free.
