Your current position is understandable.
Looking for a non-intuitive way forward in not easy.
Building on what we know is the main path most follow and reach your declaration.

I stopped lifting weights along time ago due to the impossibility and looked at masses
following their natural paths.

In the process I hit missing areas of knowledge.
That resulted learning and changing as each is acquired.

I gained from the process independent of 'The Quest'.

We aren't necessarily saying Bessler was a fraud, but after 300 years culminating in this enlightened era and no one has solved it? Yep and it won't be either.

Perhaps broaden your search criteria ..

* No passive leverage technique (Law of Levers, and MA x SR = 1.0) can give a lift of higher PE than you started with .. (what you said) ..

** Leverage can be put to use to give a required lift (Net gain in PE) if the wheel has a replenishing source of Input energy to be transformed into Mechanical Energy Output i.e. energy consuming engine analogue .. (not usually accepted as true mechanical PM)

*** Therefore, imo .. B's. wheels, once in dynamic mode, induced a push of momentum to cause the repeatable circulation of weights and gaining in wheel momentum/RKE, et al .. and the OB system, starting from out-of-balance, provided the initial torque to prime the dynamic phase of parasitic momentum exchange from the wider environment surrounding the wheels ..
