the gravitational energy converter

Post by Georg Künstler »

The gravitational energy converter will convert the gravitational energy in useful torque.

To do this we need to look at Besslers wheels to learn something about frequencies and amplitudes.

We know from the eyewitnesses that the wheel turns 26 rounds per minute. He has also constructed smaler wheels, where the rounds per minutes are faster,

So we keep in mind that the wheel is an oscillator which will swing with a frequence of 26 rounds per minute.

Other oscillators you will see in a drilling machine with about 3600 turns per minute,
A turbine with maybe 10000 turns per minute and not forget the oscillarors which we have in our Radio and computer, which will have some gigaherz per second.

So the Bessler wheel is a slow turning oscillator with a frequence of 26 rounds per minute.
The amplitue in the Bessler wheel is limited and is depending on the building size. The maximum amplitude can only be the diameter of the complete wheel.

So please verify the steps above before I go on.
Best regards

In this other thread, an image near the bottom of the first page says another of his wheel were also 12 feets in diameter, and ran at 40 RPM.

From some drawings we know that the wheel was buildt with 80 dowels.
I have constructed a test wheel like a hamster cage with this.
In addition we know that we have cylindrical weights which have a hole.

What can we do with this information ?
We can build a pendulum wheel, that swings like a child`s swing.
Because the cylindrical weight is loose lying on the dowels we have only a specific range from plus/minus 40 degrees on the bottom of the wheel.
We have now an oscillator, a symmetrical oscillator.

What we need is an asymmetric distribution of the forces.
To achieve an asymmetric distribution of forces we need the loose axle principle.
To manage this we need 2 cylindrical weights which are connected with a stick.
Here we have Besslers words
one is arranging the other.
With the loose axle principle the force on the axle and the force on the rim will variate
1000008896.jpg
.
The force on the rim can variate between 2 times of the cylindrical weight and zero, depending on the angle during one oscillation.

There's a lot of fun to be had with Georg, the man who filed a patent in Germany...
Probably bankrupt by now...

He's back with his old obsolete stuff, and as he's incapable of hammering a nail, he tells us how it should be done, poor clown.

This guy is a charlatan, I can dig out the old posts if you want?
I've had the bastard in my house.

Maybe the description of a loose axle is technically wrong.
It is a structure like the following, laid on the central axis.

With this construction, we have two points where we have a force: one on the rim and the second on the main axle.
The structure will always act as a pendulum and depending on the weight distibution it will always reach the 4 o´clock position.
It will oscillate plus, minus around the 4 o'clock position and will stop its pendulum swinging at the 4 o'clock position.

Therebye the center of mass is always shifted to one side of the wheel.
And in addition the weight on the rim has a roll up function.
We have fulfilled Besslers words
one weight is arranging the other
, they are coupled.
We have created an asymmetric force on the wheel.

structure on central axis and rim
structure on central axis and rim
Structure on central axis and rim
Structure on central axis and rim

Impressive build Georg. Your use of language of how it operates reminds me of John Worrell Keely.

Happy new year to all, even to the Wagners of today.

From the previous pictures, you see that there is a short and a long lever on the pendulum. It has the shape of a "Hasenschlegel".
One weight is arranging the other.
What you see in addition, that we have two points where force from gravity can act.
Because the "Hasenschlegel" has no fix point and can slip, the forces of the "Hasenschlegel" are splitted to this two contact points.
One contact point is the central axle of the Hamstercage, the second contact point is the contact point on the rim.
Depending on the weight distribution of the "Hasenschlegel" we will get a force on the rim in the range of the 4 o'clock position.
With this construction we have now an asymmetric force, the assymetric force is shifted, in the case above to the right.

I have looked a very long time for this function and I think you can remember how I have tried to block a backswing of the rolling weights.
Now we have this new function !!

This is the breakthrough for the besslerwheel development.
Best regards

thx4,
I think Georg is on the right track. Only it needs to be the other way around. I.E., the wheel should turn the rotor. Then the rotor could shift the outer weights. If; you could find a way to connect them up, that is---------------Sam

Fletcher asks: one goes to the center, the other goes to the rim ..

Zentrum ( Center ) and Felge ( Rim ) are capitalized while "fährt"is not. Why do you think "fährt" says "rolling" instead of "goes" Georg ?
We have "fahren","fährt", and "gefahren" in our german language.
The definition of fahren is;
fahren
[fahren]
definition

"Rollend" will be translated to rolling.

The eyewitnesses know that the weights have a cylindrical shape and they are pierced in the middle,
and from "fährt" we know that these cylindrical weights are rolling.

I will show you my interpretation of this.
You will be able to reproduce the movement in your simulation software.
Best regards

Here is the functionality of the rolling cylinder.
I have removed one side of the Hamster cage so that you can have a better look to the internal construction.

The cylinder can roll on the rim.
Depending on the weight distribution you will get an rolling on the 4 o'clock position.
Remember Bessler's words: the force has to be applied at the right angle, and where I had said it is not the meaning of a 90-degree angle.
The force has to be applied in the correct angle, so the correct angle is in the range of the 4 o'clock position.
You see this in the picture.
It is an automatic adjustment and will represent Bessler's weight and overweighted description, it is well balanced.
We have a long and a short lever.
The function is stable.
The total weight of the weights left and the weights right will be distibuted on the central axle and the rim.
The structure which is holding the turnable cylinder and the counterweight is only laying on the axis.
Therefore the force on the rim is depending on the angle.
It is a roll-up function that will always roll up to the 4 o'clock position.
The center of Gravity is shifted in this case to the right.

Understanding this function is a necessary step for the complete Bessler wheel.
shifted center of gravity
shifted center of gravity

This is the first time I've come across this thread.
What a fantastic build. That's German engineering for you. ;-)

My Bosch fridge has been going for yonks.
Mind you the plastic handles on the two doors have fallen
off so one has to open the doors by pulling on the edge.

They have learnt from this though.
On the latest Bosch fridge my
daughter bought there are no handles.
One simply pulls on the grooved edge.

Hi Georg .. bit busy for the next few days but I think I can sim your device without too much trouble - when I do I will ask you for clarification of details so we are all on the same page ..

fwiw when I build sims I try to do so with an open mind ( no prejudice ) - that's why I ask for details that may seem obvious to you - then I let the sim do its thing and sit back and watch it play out as a bystander - then the thinking cap goes on for the analysis and explanation of why it did what it did .. let's hope it performs the same as your real-world build when I get to it ..
