John, all I have to say is don't give up. Even if a gravity driven wheel were impossible (which I firmly do not belive) then the worst thing you are doing is expending some time and energy to excercise your mind. Everyone talks about excercising your body to stay healthy... I believe the same is true for your mind. Use it! Learn some new things! Experiment! HAVE FUN! Who knows, you might discover something amaazing... of course you might also break the universe and then we'd all be in big trouble so at least try to be a little bit careful, okay? :-)
: I have to admit a part of me thinks I'm crazy for even entertaining this perpetual motion stuff...but as I read the intelligent posts of other people here, at least it makes me feel I'm in good company !
