Also, I appreciate that you don't equate the American government and its actions with the American people or their collective will. Clearly, large and powerful interests are pulling the strings here... Maybe it’s the Gnomes of Zurich, as Grim proposed. But more likely it is a much more real and sinister organization, such as the "Project for the New American Century" (PNAC), whose official roster includes many of our warmongering leaders. (i.e. Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, and Paul Wolfowitz, to name a few...)

Anyway, before I get TOO far off topic... I totally agree with Jeff Langworthy (Thanks Jeff, for your post!) Your ideas are very interesting and have a lot of merit. But seeing is believing!
